Job Description

THE GOAL

As the Head of Korean Concept Development, you will be at the forefront of Korean Concept innovation, responsible for developing Korean concepts in the retailers environment. You will ensure the concepts are scalable, franchiseable businesses. You will be part of a dynamic team to create and implement strategies that enhance our brands, drive sales, and deliver exceptional customer experiences.

Reporting to: CEO

Direct reports: Store Managers and NPD chef

Working with: KellyDeli founder, retailers

Travel involved.

Travel as and when required mainly in the UK and some occasional requirement to travel to locations in Europe.

WHAT THEY DO

Innovation & Product Development:

  • Stakeholder management and manage the expectations of retailers to ensure the concept is successful (profitable, scalable and suitable to be franchised)
  • Lead the Korean concept development
  • Create an attractive business model to attract the most talented Franchisees.
  • Create lean systems and workflows to optimise productivity and minimise labour cost.
  • Collaborate with the founder, NPD specialist, and operations teams to ensure concepts align with brand identity and operational capabilities.
  • Conduct market analysis to identify trends, customer preferences, and competitive landscape.
  • Oversee the concept testing process, including customer feedback collection and financial performance evaluation.
  • Support the openings to quickly scale the business and define the offer and operating model for the concepts.
  • Define the Unique selling proposition for the concept.
  • Design the customer journey and the pain points the concept will be able to address.

Ways of working:

  • Regularly update stakeholders on operational performance
  • Operate in a clear and transparent way.
  • Be hands on and a very present and visible figure in the stores, this is a 100% field-based role. Your office will be in stores.
  • Works closely with supply chain to maintain up to date knowledge of suppliers.
  • Ensures the teams operate according to quality standards and foster the highest-level culture of food safety.

WHO THEY ARE

  • Fluent in English and Korean language is a plus
  • They will have high levels of cultural knowledge in Korea and UK
  • They work in a low cost agile approach
  • Good understanding of sales with a focus on customer satisfaction
  • Experience in developing successful food concepts.
  • Experience in FMCG (minimum 4yrs +)
  • Proven track record of delivery of high quality, sustainable and commercial multi-site concepts that are scaled.
  • Ability to lead multiple projects and prioritise self and the team accordingly.
  • Creative and enthusiastic in food recipe development
  • Food handling experience
  • Extremely knowledgeable about Korean food and culture
  • Ability to use Microsoft and Google suite of software.
