Job Description

THE GOAL

The aim of the Junior Accountant Is to support the Belgium Finance Team with accounting duties and other finance activities.

WHAT YOU DO

• AR/AP Accounting such as scanning and booking of purchase invoices, sending invoices to the customers
• Financial Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records
• Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable: Assisting in processing invoices, payments, and receivables
• Bank Reconciliation: Monitoring financial transactions and reconciling bank statements
• Financial Reporting: Assisting in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and budgets
• Assist on preparation of tax and VAT declarations
• Handle periodical closing process, including typical closing activities like accruals, invoicing
• All round financial support
• Basic Journals

WHO YOU ARE

• You have a good knowledge of MS Office.
• You are an expert in MS Excel.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy or equivalent through experience.
• You have a relevant experience as (Junior) Accountant.
• You are fluent in both English and (French/Dutch) and you can express yourself in French or Dutch.
• You are accurate with a strong analytical and critical mind.
• You respect tight deadlines and you are flexible in order to respect them.
• You take initiative to improve things
