We are currently representing a leading global Financial Services firm in the appointment of high-calibre professionals as part of a period of strategic growth and investment.

Key Responsibilities

As the Senior Financial Accountant, you will play a critical role in managing core financial operations, ensuring the accuracy of reporting and supporting strategic initiatives. You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders and provide robust financial insight that drives business performance.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the preparation of IFRS‑compliant statutory accounts and lead the full annual audit process.
  • Manage and continuously improve the financial reporting function, ensuring timely delivery of management accounts, regulatory reporting, board packs and budgets.
  • Prepare periodic variance analysis and present key financial insights to senior management.
  • Maintain robust financial controls, including journals, balance sheet reconciliations, revenue recognition and cost allocations.
  • Oversee and maintain the chart of accounts, reporting structures and internal financial templates.
  • Manage day‑to‑day cash flow, intercompany balances and supplier payment processes.
  • Drive system, process and control improvements, collaborating with IT on automation and risk‑mitigation initiatives.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Able to demonstrate ACCA/ACA/CIMA qualification (or equivalent) is essential.
  • Proven experience within the financial services or legal industry, ideally in a multi‑jurisdictional or professional services environment.
  • Strong technical grounding in IFRS with demonstrable statutory reporting experience.
  • Solid technical accounting expertise with the ability to interpret and analyse complex financial statements.
  • Strong working knowledge of Oracle would be highly advantageous.
