Job Description

Hey! We’re Huel and we’re pleased to meet you! 👋 We're going to start by talking about our exciting new Senior Manufacturing Operative position, but if you'd like the quick low down on us first including our growth story then just head to the bottom of this page!

The role

We are very excited to be bringing the manufacturing of Huel in house for the first time! 👏 Soon, we will be transitioning away from Co Manufacturing Partners into our brand new, purpose built site in Milton Keynes, with Manufacturing planned to commence from mid June 2024!

No day is the same, but here's an insight in to what you'll get up to:

Pre Manufacturing:

Ensure that safety protocols and guidelines on site are followed during all activities.

Collaborate with the team to design and set up efficient manufacturing layouts and processes.

Actively participate in testing the Manufacturing Execution System (MES).

Identify and report any issues, bugs, or improvements related to the MES.

Manufacturing operation post-launch:

Adhere to site safety and food quality standards at all times.

Ensure a safe, clean and organised manufacturing environment at all times.

Complete required line start up checks.

Operate loading, blending and/or packaging line equipment to blend and pack powdered food ingredients according to batch specifications.

Monitor process parameters such as flow rates, blending times to ensure product consistency and quality.

Perform routine equipment setup, adjustments, and maintenance to maximise efficiency and minimise downtime.

Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and regulatory requirements.

Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines to maintain a safe and clean work environment.

Record production data accurately and maintain production logs for traceability and quality control purposes.

Collaborate with team members and supervisors to troubleshoot issues and implement process improvements.

What we're looking for in you

This role is best suited to someone with 2+ years experience within a FMCG environment preferably within the food or pharmaceutical industry. You will have knowledge of safety regulations and quality control checks and willingness to adhere to them. You will also have:

  • Good level of computer literacy to effectively follow MES processes.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work accurately under pressure.
  • Good organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to handle manual tasks, including lifting and moving goods during the manufacturing process.
