Training Support Manager - Remote based

Function: Star Pubs
Location: Field-based

Contract: Permanent

Salary: £28,000 - £31,000 (depending on experience)

About the role
As a Training Support Manager, this role plays a key part in supporting the delivery and ongoing improvement of training programmes. The focus is on ensuring Licensees and Just Add Talent operators have access to practical, relevant training that helps them run sustainable and efficient businesses.

The role supports the creation and delivery of engaging training content, including:

  • Virtual training sessions
  • E-learning modules
  • Practical tools and checklists
  • New formats shaped through innovation


Working closely with internal teams is key to gather input, alongside collaboration with external partners where needed. Feedback is actively gathered and used to continuously improve the overall training offer.

Keeping close to market trends is important, using insight to ensure content stays relevant and useful.

Time is also spent with Licensees, learning from high-performing operators, understanding what drives their success, and translating this into learning that can be shared across Star Pubs.

The role directly supports the ambition to bring out the best in the great British pub.

About you – what are we looking for?
Experience in training, facilitation, or supporting learning delivery is important, alongside confidence in presenting to groups and contributing to content design. This experience is likely to have been developed within hospitality, retail operations, or a customer service environment, with a clear interest in training and development.

Strong communication skills and confidence working with a range of stakeholders are key. A proactive approach, good time management, and the ability to stay motivated while working remotely are all important for success in the role, alongside time spent out in the business.

This role suits an ambitious individual looking to build capability and progress into a Training Delivery Manager or other roles within Star Pubs. There should also be a strong interest in developing knowledge of the On-Trade and understanding what drives success for Licensees.

You'll need to be self-motivated, enjoy working from home, which will take up 80% of your time, as well as getting out into the business
