Job Description

The Training Cell
Junior Supervisor is responsible for the design and implementation of
competency tool sets that both identify training requirements and record
completed training. They will also have an in depth working knowledge of both
On/Off aircraft and workshop competency profiles at all levels of seniority.

The requirement of
this role is to liaise and support maintenance personnel and managers at all
levels to navigate and succeed in utilising all available media and training
routes to be able to demonstrate compliance and competency, in particular an in
depth knowledge of training tool sets and the lead stakeholders is essential for
this role.

The post holder will supervise personnel who are
undertaking a range of training activities in order to maintain competency and
currency within the maintenance organisation.
Core Activity:

  • Updating
    training materials to reflect changes to systems, developments and upgrades and
    to meet developing or changing requirements as directed by the Training Cell Senior Supervisor.
  • In
    conjunction with the training cell Senior Supervisor ensure that training
    materials conform to the appropriate configuration and standards
  • Establishing
    and maintaining training schedules and delivery programmes to meet the needs
    and requirements as directed by the Training Cell Senior Supervisor
  • Supporting
    the development of training material via the tTraining Cell Senior Supervisor for
    bespoke or new training requirements, either by outsourcing or producing
    training courses
  • Delivering
    Induction Training to all employees in accordance with the induction plan. Other
    deliverables would include Continuation training,
  • Manual Handling and Working
    at Height
  • Delivering
    SHE briefings in conjunction with the on-site SHE co-ordinator
  • Completing
    training records to ensure competency and currency of maintenance personnel to
    provide evidence to the compliant authority
  • Liaising with outside agencies to arrange
    training and refresher training

Key Accountabilities:

  • Performance indicators – Deliver and record training to
    undertake appropriate assessments to ensure that each employee develops the
    skills and is able to demonstrate the ability to perform the activities and
    tasks required in the domain of maintenance
  • Procedure/standards – Ensure compliance with the regulatory
    framework its associated procedures and standards, and any other company
    procedures and standards, as applicable. At this level would be expected to
    agree and implement change as required
  • Safety Management System – Understanding of the application of
    human factors, error management, risk management and safety assurance
  • Statutory / Regulatory & Legislative
    requirements
    – Able
    to demonstrate a detailed understanding and application of the continuing
    airworthiness regulatory framework, e.g. EASA and ensure any changes are
    implemented; Ensure compliance with all other requirements, e.g. ITAR/E&PW
  • Contractual Requirements – Ensure compliance with all applicable
    contractual requirements; Support contract reviews and ensure communication of
    any changes into Airworthiness Records activities, as appropriate

Requirements

Qualifications/Functional Knowledge:

  • HNC or equivalent experience
  • Requires general
    product knowledge/competency within own technical/subject area and steady
    knowledge of those elements in other areas
  • Awareness of how the
    team integrates with others in order to achieve the overall objectives of
    the area and demonstrates an understanding of the requirement for
    continuous improvement and its application
