Licensee Attraction Manager
Function: Star Pubs
Location: Edinburgh – hybrid working with 3 days onsite.
Salary: c. £30,000 per annum (dependant on experience) & benefits listed below!
Contract: 12-month Fixed Term Contract

Star Pubs is part of HEINEKEN UK and has an estate of c.2,300 pubs. Our ambition is to bring out the best in the great British pub. We do this by attracting and retaining the best operators, investing to create great pubs at the heart of their communities and providing market-leading insight and support to our licensees.
Role purpose
The Licensee Attraction Team is responsible for attracting, engaging and securing the best self-employed pub operators for Star Pubs. As a Licensee Attraction Manager (LAM), you play a key role in building and maintaining a strong pipeline of high-quality operators for pub vacancies.
Key responsibilities
- Create and deliver marketing campaigns for pub vacancies in partnership with the Attraction Marketing team
- Write compelling adverts and implement targeted marketing plans
- Screen and interview potential licensees, progressing suitable candidates to Business Development Managers
- Build and maintain a talent bank of prospective operators
- Develop a strong social media presence and organise recruitment events
- Attend regional meetings and spend time in trade (travel required)
Skills needed
- Confident communicator with strong interviewing skills.
- Professional and engaging telephone manner
- Experience presenting to medium and large audiences
- Strong social media and networking capability
- Effective relationship-building and stakeholder management skills
- Highly organised, proactive and able to manage multiple vacancies
- Willingness to learn and develop new skills
- Passion for pubs, people and the hospitality industry

Our ways of working
Our office sites operate a hybrid model. You’ll spend Tuesdays, Thursdays and one other day in the office and two days from home, although but you’re more than welcome to come and work from the office on those days too.
