Job Description

Agreement Coordinator

Function:
Star Pubs
Location: Edinburgh (St Andrew’s Square) – Hybrid working
Salary: £27,000 base depending on experience & full benefits listed below.

Contract: Permanent

Latest Closing date: Wednesday 28th October 2026. Please note, that we may close vacancies early when we receive significant numbers of applications, so don’t delay!

Did you know that HEINEKEN own over 2,400 pubs in the UK? HEINEKEN has a long-held belief that pubs are an integral part of British culture and that well-invested pubs, run by skilled operators can prosper and thrive. As the nation’s leading pub, cider and beer company and the name behind a host of brilliant brands, we’re looking for equally brilliant people to help us on our journey to building a better future.

Part of building a better future is supporting our lessees, ensuring they have the right tools to build their businesses and play an important part in their thriving communities. This would be impossible without gold-star colleagues who care about people, account management and everything we stand for.

There’s so much more to HEINEKEN than meets the eye and right now, we’re looking for an Agreement Coordinator to join our Star Pubs Compliance team!

About the role
The Agreement Coordinator acts as a specialist point of contact for agreement-related matters across the Star estate and HUK Group property portfolio.

You'll coordinate agreement activity throughout the full lifecycle, taking ownership of events from initiation through to completion. This includes new agreements, renewals, rent reviews, assignments and a range of landlord and tenant matters.

The role requires gaining a good understanding of our Star Pub agreement types, Real Estate requirements, Commercial Policy and the Pubs Code. You'll provide guidance and support to field-based colleagues, helping them understand agreement processes, requirements and timescales, while ensuring activity is progressed accurately and in line with the relevant policies and regulations.

You'll also prepare and manage legal and contractual documentation, review agreement and rent event data, and coordinate external professional advisers including solicitors and surveyors. You'll monitor activity through to completion, identify potential issues and help resolve any barriers that could affect delivery.

Accuracy and attention to detail are important in this role. You'll manage information and documentation across multiple systems and stakeholders, ensuring contracts, charges and legal documentation are complete and accurate before agreements progress or complete.

You'll also support the continued development of processes, guidance and best practice across the team, helping improve consistency, compliance and how agreement activity is managed.

What we’re looking for
We're looking for someone with a good understanding of property agreements and the requirements that sit behind them. You'll be comfortable working with detailed information, coordinating activity across different stakeholders and providing clear guidance to colleagues.

You'll bring:

  • Good knowledge of the Pubs Code, Star Pubs' (or similar Pub Company) Commercial Policy and the different agreement types across the estate.
  • Experience of property, legal or agreement-related processes, ideally including landlord and tenant matters.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise competing demands and deliver accurate work within agreed timescales.
  • Clear communication skills and the confidence to work collaboratively with colleagues and external professional advisers.

Confidence using systems and digital tools to manage information and documentation would also be helpful. Knowledge of Star Pubs' systems would be an advantage.

A Level 4 qualification or above in property, legal or a related discipline would be desirable.

We embrace learning and growth, and we anticipate there is scope to develop in this role. You’re also likely to bring experiences to this role that are not listed above – as long as you have a thirst for learning and development, not every box needs to be ticked regarding skillsets.

Our Benefits
As part of the team, along with your salary, you’ll also receive;

  • An annual bonus
  • Company funded Private Medical Healthcare
  • Double matched pension (up to 10%)
  • 35 days holiday
  • A monthly case of our delicious ciders and beers! (low and no alcohol options available)
  • Comprehensive Opportunities to develop- We've just launched our Star Skills Playbook which has a comprehensive development programme for every role in Star Pubs so the world is your oyster once you join!

You’ll also get the opportunity to get involved with one of our colleague networks where groups of colleagues from all over the business work together to ensure we’re always working towards being a diverse and inclusive company.

The Application
If you like what you’ve read and want to explore this opportunity further, please apply as soon as possible. We may close vacancies early when we receive significant numbers of applications, so don’t delay!

Embracing and celebrating diversity is core to HEINEKEN’s purpose of “brewing the joy of true togetherness to inspire a better world”. We believe that people as diverse as our brews – including and not limited to gender, ethnicity, age, sexual orientation, religious belief, nationality, social background, disability and thinking style – enrich our lives and strengthen our business. We welcome and consider applications from all qualified candidates as we champion a culture of belonging that provides fair and equal opportunities for all.

If you need any adjustments made to support your application, for example, if you require information in different formats, or if you have any accessibility issues, then we’re more than happy to review our processes – please feel free to get in touch with us at recruitment@heineken.co.uk.

Our ways of working
Our office sites operate a hybrid model. You’ll spend Tuesdays, Thursdays and one other day in the office and two days from home, although but you’re more than welcome to come and work from the office on those days too.
