English to German Translator (Contractor)

Job Description

We have an exciting project supporting the German localisation of our sites, app, marketing materials, and paid media. We’re looking for a great English to German translator who can work on localising all the content we need to keep our customers informed and entertained at every point of their journey. This project includes the translation and/or maintenance of our sites, attractions, email marketing journeys, landing pages and much more!

Working closely with our in-house content team, you will be responsible for ensuring our content is accurate and our brand tone of voice is maintained.

This is a freelance contract for 3/4 days per week, expected to last for a few months.

Key responsibilities:

• Translate from English to German long and short-form copy such as attraction descriptions and ensure they are being merchandised correctly and effectively across key destinations.
• Make sure any changes to the product are clearly communicated to our customers in your specialist language.
• Supporting global translation and promo requests, for example, summer promotions.
• Work within multiple CMS to edit information across website, app, and email (training provided).
• Ensure our brand tone of voice is maintained when copy is translated from English to German.
• Work collaboratively with our content managers and other translation specialists, to maintain an efficient workflow.

Requirements

• Entirely fluent in your specialist language, with strong experience working in translation roles.
• You will be a stickler for accuracy, with excellent attention to detail.
• Equally happy working on various types of content, from long-form attraction descriptions, to short, snappy copy.
• Confident using a CMS to upload and edit copy.
• Highly organised and a great collaborator.
