Job Description

FitXR is a fitness technology company working at the cutting edge of VR and MR, building a movement for movement.

We've built a growing range of fitness studios, from box workouts with world-class trainers like Olympian Nicola Adams to immersive Zumba dance classes. While nothing compares to trying it yourself, you can watch a trailer here.

FitXR is available on Meta Quest 2 & 3 and has been downloaded by over a million people worldwide. Featured in Forbes, Empire, T3, Washington Post, Men's Health, GQ and more. In 2022, FitXR ranked 6th in The Information’s 50 Most Promising Startups.

TLDR

We are looking for a Product Manager to add to our already incredible team. This is an environment where your passion for product management will truly shine as you support the strategy and development of our core in-app experience, creating moments that surprise and delight our customers and help them form healthy, life-changing habits.

This is a high-profile role within the organisation and you will work closely with cross-functional Leads, Senior Leadership Team and CEO.

What you’ll find here

  • A highly collaborative team of multi-disciplinary specialists, who manage a huge range of experimental and high-impact product initiatives - your thoughts, challenges and ideas are actively encouraged!
  • An ambitious but ambiguous environment - we’re here to build a category-defining product that radically changes how people experience fitness. This means there is no defined path for us to follow: we’re breaking new ground every day and learning as we do. You’ll thrive here if you’re as passionate as us about changing people’s lives for the better while being comfortable navigating ambiguity and creating your own certainty in the uncertain
  • A culture built on delivering greatness, iterating, sharing feedback and trying new things - we want you to take bold bets focused on driving value to our customers, and tell us what you learn if it doesn’t work!
  • A highly invested senior leadership team who believe our people are what will take our business to the next level - they are your teammates, cheerleaders, coaches, support team - working beside you as we build the #1 immersive fitness app in the world
  • Strong foundations, but an openness to work your way - we have a high quality bar when it comes to delivery, but teams have the freedom to self-organise how they achieve this
  • An excellent benefits package - see below

Where you’ll spend your time

  • Deep diving into our community, speaking to users and representing their voice to guide our decision-making - we have a strong data team but our product managers are the custodians of our customer's voice
  • Defining and communicating the why and the what- ideas come from everywhere, inside and outside of our business; your role is to collaborate and choose the best path
  • Driving the design, development and implementation of experiences that drive habit formation among our customers
  • Working closely with our cross-functional leadership to define and deliver our product roadmap
  • Running experiments on bold bets to test hypotheses, gain conviction and identify new opportunities to drive value to our customers
  • Communicating clearly with your team and cross-functionally to ensure you’re rowing in the same direction and continuously improving how you work together

We’d love to see from you

  • You are a seasoned Product Manager and have worked in consumer tech or gaming - bonus if you’ve cut your teeth on immersive technologies!
  • You're hands-on, and you’d go above and beyond to make the team and the product successful
  • You are customer-obsessed and have experience in qualitative user research - we’re talking scrappy, boots-on-the-ground approaches
  • You have experience building retention layers into products, helping develop the “hook” for customers that keep them coming back for more
  • You have proficiency with data analytics - can easily use tools like Amplitude and communicate about data with non-experts
  • You are able to craft a vision and clarify an ambiguous problem space into clear, tangible building blocks of a roadmap

Our mission is to make fitness fun and accessible for everyone. To build inclusive products, we need to build an inclusive team. Please know that this list is indicative and that we would still love to hear from you even if you feel you are only a 75% match. Skills can be learnt, diversity cannot. We promote a diverse and inclusive culture at FitXR.

Logistics 🛠

Our interview process takes place on Google Hangouts and tends to consist of the following stages:

  • Initial screen with the talent team
  • Hiring Manager / technical interview
  • Collaborative task stage

Some roles will have extra stages but we’ll let you know as early as possible if so.
