Why Delivero
Our mission is to transform the way you shop and eat, bringing the neighbourhood to your door by connecting consumers, restaurants, shops and riders. We are transforming the way the world eats and shops by making access to food and products more convenient and enjoyable. We give people the opportunity to buy what they want, as they want it, when and where they want it.
We are a technology-driven company at the forefront of the most rapidly expanding industry in the world. We are still a small team, making a very large impact, looking to answer some of the most interesting questions out there. We move fast, value autonomy and ownership, and we are always looking for new ideas.
About the Team
Deliveroo’s New Verticals business is transforming how customers access groceries, everyday essentials, and restaurant-quality food by operating dark stores, dark kitchens, and new retail models across multiple markets. Within this, the Site Operations org ensures every operation runs efficiently, profitably, and consistently across our growing global network. We work cross-functionally with other teams at Deliveroo to build the operational foundations that enable Deliveroo to scale new business models rapidly and sustainably. As part of the global branch of Site Operations, our mission in Operational Planning is to make every site a benchmark for operational excellence — driving performance and process excellence through insight, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
About the Role
As an Ops Strategy & Insights Associate, you will be at the heart of operational planning for our global Site Operations. You will leverage data and analytics to deliver actionable insights that will shape our strategy across labour management, cost efficiency, and operational effectiveness. You will partner with stakeholders across Finance, Site Ops, Legal, Commercial, and other teams to drive planning, reporting, and budgeting processes.
This role is ideal for someone who combines analytical rigour with strong communication skills and a deep curiosity for how operational systems and incentives work.
What You Will Be Doing
Support operational strategy development through data analysis, modelling, and insight generation across all Site Operations markets and businesses (dark kitchens, dark stores, and other formats).
Lead labour management initiatives, helping optimise workforce planning, productivity tracking, and labour-to-sales efficiency.
Monitor, report, and forecast key operational cost lines, driving performance management and accountability across the global network.
Build and automate dashboards and reports that make performance transparent, scalable, and actionable.
Partner cross-functionally with Finance, Commercial, Legal, Compliance, and Site Operations teams to ensure alignment between operational and financial planning.
Provide ad-hoc analysis and recommendations to senior stakeholders to support key decisions, trade-offs, and investment priorities.
Help drive a culture of data-driven decision-making, continuously improving the accuracy, accessibility, and impact of Site Operations data.
Requirements
Min. 3 years of experience in an analytical or strategy role, ideally in consulting, finance, or a high-growth environment.
Strong quantitative skills and proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets; experience with SQL, R, Python, etc… is a strong plus.
Understanding of economics, accounting, statistics, and/or financial modelling is a strong plus.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to translate data into clear business recommendations.
High attention to detail, structured problem-solving ability, and a proactive approach to improving processes.
Thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic, cross-functional environment.
Passionate about delivering measurable business impact.
Workplace & Benefits
At Deliveroo we know that people are the heart of the business and we prioritise their welfare. Benefits differ by country, but we offer many benefits in areas including healthcare, well-being, parental leave, pensions, and generous annual leave allowances, including time off to support a charitable cause of your choice. Benefits are country-specific, please ask your recruiter for more information.
Diversity
At Deliveroo, we believe a great workplace is one that represents the world we live in and how beautifully diverse it can be. That means we have no judgement when it comes to any one of the things that make you who you are - your gender, race, sexuality, religion or a secret aversion to coriander. All you need is a passion for (most) food and a desire to be part of one of the fastest-growing businesses in a rapidly growing industry.
We are committed to diversity, equity and inclusion in all aspects of our hiring process. We recognise that some candidates may require adjustments to apply for a position or fairly participate in the interview process. If you require any adjustments, please don't hesitate to let us know. We will make every effort to provide the necessary adjustments to ensure you have an equitable opportunity to succeed.
