Job Description
We are looking for energetic and keen candidates who can grow into a role that supports the Cool Farm team with engagement and operation related tasks. The ideal candidate will have experience of working with the Cool Farm Tool.
As this is a remote position, please ensure you have a quiet and private workspace with strong and reliable internet access for the duration of your desk hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Training and Consulting team as well as Project Managers to develop and deliver training on the Cool Farm tools and resources.
- Provide a range of training and support with carbon assessments.
- Facilitate online workshops, regional face-to-face workshops and provide support to farmers.
- Support in the development of guidance resources for users of our digital platforms.
- Support Cool Farm projects with farmer and supply chain engagement in line with project deliverables.
Essential Criteria
- Fluent in English.
- Ability to work remotely and independently.
- Undergraduate degree.
- Experience in working with the Cool Farm Tool or similar carbon accounting tools or methodologies in the agricultural sector.
- Confidence in conducting workshops and providing training and support to farmers, with prior experience preferred
- Collaboration and communication skills to work effectively within a small team.
- Passion for working towards a sustainable future
- Continuous learning mindset to stay informed about best practices and emerging methodologies.
- Ability to travel across the United Kingdom, including all four home nations.
Desirable Criteria
Whilst experience in the following would be beneficial, they are not essential. We will support you to get up to speed in these areas, if you are a good fit for the role and our team.
- Background as agronomist or farm advisor.
- Experience in teaching and articulating technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience working in environmental sustainability.
- Experience working in topic related areas such as industry alliances or FMCG food & beverage sector.

Application Process
- Interested candidates should continue with this application form. The deadline is 9am BST, Thursday 8th August 2024.
- Two people will read the applications and the first page of the application (showing Applicant Personal Information) will be hidden from those selecting candidates for interview.
- CVs are to be uploaded but will not be reviewed by the selection panel for the initial selection. They will only be reviewed if successfully invited for interview.
- Interviews will take place on 15th August 2024.
- Interviews will be virtual and approximately 1 hour long. We will send the main questions before the interview so candidates can prepare.
- Once the candidates have been shortlisted, a second 30-minute interview may take place in the third week of August.

This role reports to the Operations Manager. The Cool Farm secretariat is a small team based around the world who lead the Alliance, provide service, and support to our members and maintain the development of the Cool Farm Platform. It is host to some world-class expertise in the areas of science and methodology for agricultural GHG emissions, removals and biodiversity impact.
