Job Title: FCAS AP Through Life Support – Technology and Media Training Lead

Salary: £54,793+ Depending on skills and experience

What you’ll be doing:

  • Lead engagement with stakeholders to develop training devices and associated technologies
  • Derive and disseminate system requirements
  • Manage user and system requirements throughout the project lifecycle
  • Lead the development and integration of a route map for training devices into the FCAS solution
  • Capture and manage dependencies, risks, assumptions, exclusions, and opportunities
  • Integrate and align international partnerships for technology development related to training devices
  • Be accountable to the Training Manager for work delivery, progress reporting, and issue escalation
  • Collaborate with UK and international partners to achieve project goals
  • Engage with and support other teams as needed
  • Work within an AGILE environment to ensure efficient and effective project delivery

Your skills and experiences:

  • Degree qualified (or equivalent experience) in a relevant or related engineering field
  • A background in some or all of the following:
    • Training Systems
    • Training Needs Analysis
    • Execution of Training for Technology and Media personnel
    • Training Device or Solution development
  • Knowledge of design processes and life cycle
  • Experience of requirements management processes and toolsets
  • The use and authoring of technical documentation
  • Experience of working within a diverse and inclusive team with focus on leveraging technologies and concepts from a broad stakeholder group, both internal, external and non-traditional technology partners

Desirable

  • Experience working in the early life cycle phase of a programme is preferable

The FCAS AP Through Life Support Team:

Join a once-in-a-generation programme as the Technology and Media Training Lead for the FCAS (Future Combat Air System) AP Through life support team. In this pivotal role, you’ll be part of a dynamic Training team responsible for designing and developing cutting-edge Technology and Media Training solutions. You’ll work closely with the Concept and Service Design Lead to ensure that our training devices and technology solutions are fully aligned and integrated, leveraging the broader capabilities of the Air sector.

Reporting to the Through Life Support Training Manager, you’ll play a key role in delivering training solutions for the UK FCAS programme, addressing both UK-specific needs and contributing to the Global Combat Air Programme (GCAP). You’ll collaborate as part of a tri-lateral international team, working alongside partners from the UK, Japan, and Italy in a highly innovative and evolving environment.
