Job Description
You will engage with external stakeholders where necessary to ensure projects are planning, delivered and reported to a high standard.We are looking for energetic, self-starting candidates who can grow into a role that supports the Cool Farm team with operations related tasks. The ideal candidate will have project management training and experience.As this is a remote post, you must have a quiet and private place to work with strong and reliable internet access.Key Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Operations team as well as key Engagement staff members.
- Support the planning and administration of projects.
- Use Jira to monitor project progress and produce reports.
- Collaborate with the Engagement team to ensure projects are communicated to members and the wider network.
- Attend operations meetings and track risks, opportunities, assumptions and KPIs.
- Present your work to the Cool Farm team in regular monthly project meetings.
Essential Criteria
- Fluent in English.
- Ability to work remotely and independently.
- Undergraduate degree.
- General understanding of project management processes and principles, particularly agile project management.
- Project management training OR at least 2 years project management experience.
- Competency with Microsoft Excel.
- Collaboration and communication skills to work effectively within a small team.
- Attention to detail.
- Passion for working towards a sustainable future and continuous learning mindset.
Desirable Criteria
Whilst experience in the following would be beneficial, they are not essential. We will support you to get up to speed in these areas, if you are a good fit for the role and our team.
- Competency in Jira and Confluence.
- Experience of agile project management.
- Experience of project bid writing and grant application processes.
- Fluency in additional languages.
- Experience working in software development, environmental sustainability or agriculture.
- Willingness to attend in-person meetings at least twice per year. These could be anywhere in the world but will often take place in the UK. Please do not hesitate to apply if your nationality prevents you from travelling to some countries, we will do our best to work around this.
- Experience working in topic related areas such as industry alliances or FMCG food & beverage sector.

As this role can be partly remote, the position can be adapted to your requirements for example allowing flexible hours, or to be mainly based working from home. We aim to create flexibility in the role to suit our colleagues' needs.

- Two people will read the applications and the first page of the application (showing Personal Details) will be hidden from those selecting candidates for interview.
- CVs are to be uploaded but will not be reviewed by the selection panel for the initial selection. They will only be reviewed if successfully invited for interview
- Interviews will take place on the 14th August 2024.
- Interviews will be virtual and approximately 1 hour long. We will send the main questions before the interview so candidates can prepare.
- Once the candidates have been shortlisted, a second 30-minute interview will take place on the 15th if necessary. Again, candidates will be provided with questions ahead of the interview.

About the team
This role reports to the Operations Manager. The Cool Farm secretariat is a small team based around the world who lead the Alliance, provide service and support to our members, and maintain the development of the Cool Farm Platform. It is host to some world-class expertise in the areas of science and methodology for agricultural GHG emissions, removals and biodiversity impact.
