An opportunity to play your part – If selected, your position as a Mobile Software Engineer will entail the development of mobile applications compatible with multiple platforms, usually within a defined project. This includes designing program logic for new applications or examining and adjusting logic in existing applications. Your responsibilities will encompass programming, testing, troubleshooting, documenting, and deploying mobile software applications. You will be required to scrutinise requirements, conduct tests, and amalgamate application components to guarantee successful enhancements to the system. The role may also require the evaluation of new software code, typically in a highly efficient Agile development setting.

The day to day –

• Sustain the current Hive mobile application and its related frameworks.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to introduce new features and enhancements to Hive.
• Engage in code reviews, strategizing sessions, authoring documentation, and offering suggestions to boost the overall robustness and quality of the app’s codebase.
• Development of mobile applications utilising JavaScript, Typescript, React, and React Native.
• Show proficiency in React/React Native is preferred, but robust JavaScript/Typescript skills are crucial.
• Deliver knowledge or experience with Redux/Redux-Saga/Redux Toolkit is not mandatory but is advantageous.
• Experience in unit testing is beneficial.
• Experience in iOS or Android development and deployment is not required but is favourable.
• Acquaintance with AWS Cognito, OAuth, or other Single Sign-On providers.
• Familiarity with cloud services like AWS is not necessary but is helpful.
• Experience or familiarity with continuous integration tools such as CircleCI, Travis, and AWS CodeBuild is appreciated.
