Centrica Energy is the trading arm of Centrica. We trade LNG, gas, power and energy attributes - and connect independent producers, suppliers and corporate off-takers in the wholesale energy markets. We move and trade energy to satisfy the changing needs of customers.

We provide our clients with the best route-to-market services available to the market today, integrating sophisticated software, trading and structuring and optimizing exposures all the way from long term risk management down to physical trading seconds before delivery. We have a diversified portfolio of energy assets under management, and we represent the new generation of energy traders, leading our customers to value on low-carbon, digital energy markets across the World. Our offices span across London, Denmark, Germany, Sweden and Singapore.

As our business sets up for further growth, we are looking for an Infrastructure Operations Analyst to join our Infrastructure team and be responsible for operational improvements, service oversight & change and infrastructure stability. You work closely on delivering projects, changes, stability and resilience on a proactive basis. You’ll also work on any incidents or problems that affect Trading Operations.

Location: This is a London based (close to Marble Arch) role and we encourage hybrid working with circa 3 days in the office and 2 days from home.

About the Role:

  • Support operational performance and stability of the Centrica Energy environments

  • Maintain and support operational stability as a result of change introduced through assigned projects

  • Help manage 3rd party resources and off-shore teams

  • Deliver quality and efficient infrastructure solutions that work to for the business
    requirements against industry standards

  • Collaborate with the architecture, application development and operations teams to contribute to continued deployment and delivery

  • Identify opportunities for efficiencies and improvements across our infrastructure solutions

  • Build and maintain relationships with counterparts in Centrica Group and our team in Denmark to ensure that the infrastructure and service provides a robust and reliable platform to deliver Centrica Energy focused services and applications

  • Disaster recovery Scenario planning and testing

  • Support and change of compliance tools and services for a regulated business

  • Help manage, minimise and report Risks to the business from a technology and process perspective.

About You:

  • Previous experience in IT Service Management

  • A good communicator who is comfortable talking to senior Executives

  • Strong understanding of the role of technology in the Trading World

  • Experience of Trade Floor and Trading environments would be beneficial

  • Organised, energetic and, above all, shows initiative and drive.
