The Role

In the rapidly evolving world of energy trading, data is a key strategic asset; it informs our decisions, fuels our strategies, and is integral to our success. At Centrica Energy, we understand the immense value of data and the growing importance of data governance in all aspects of our operations. That's where you come in.

As the new Head of Data Governance, you will:

• Spearhead the creation and management of a robust data governance team.

• Collaborate with our IT teams to enhance data governance practices.

• Implement and oversee local governance policies and their deployment.

• Lead efforts to register, manage, and mitigate data risks.

• Manage tools and processes for effective data management.

• Foster a centre of data excellence, supporting business functions in data utilisation.

About you

We are looking for someone who preferably has:

• At least 5 years of experience in data governance, preferably as a data steward or in a similar role.

• Strong communication skills and a knack for relationship management.

• Experience with Meta Data/Data Loss Protection tools like Microsoft Purview (preferred, but not mandatory).

The role is based out of Aalborg. Our Aalborg office is not just a workplace; it's the epicenter of our innovative efforts. Here, you'll be instrumental in shaping our path forward.
