The Role

As our Head of Architecture, you'll play a pivotal role in defining our technological trajectory and aligning IT strategies with our ambitious business objectives in the fast-evolving energy trading market. This role demands a profound understanding of the energy sector, trading dynamics, and how technology catalyses business growth.

As the new Head of Architecture, you will:

  • Architecture Strategy: Develop and maintain an overarching IT architecture strategy that propels our business forward. Stay ahead of industry trends and technological breakthroughs, integrating them seamlessly into our IT ecosystem.

  • Architecture Design: Collaborate with architects and IT teams to design and implement robust, scalable IT solutions, ensuring they meet business needs and IT standards.

  • Prioritisation: Engage actively in IT delivery prioritisation, aligning them with our architectural vision and strategy

  • Technology Development and Integration: Work closely with IT teams to advance the development and integration of technology solutions, driving our business goals.

  • Cross Collaboration: Lead architecture boards, fostering cooperation across IT teams and the wider company, ensuring smooth progress towards our architectural objectives.

  • Rationalisation: Constantly seek opportunities to enhance efficiency and reduce costs within our IT landscape.

  • Data Centric: Advocate for and facilitate the shift towards a more data-focused IT architecture.

  • Cloud Focus: Have sound knowledge of General Cloud Architecture on Azure and AWS, along with an understanding of tech stacks at an architectural level

  • Work Agile: Be proficient in agile development methodologies, emphasizing adaptability and collaboration

  • Team Management: Build and manage a high-calibre architecture team.

About you

We envision our Head of Architecture to be someone with:

  • Experience: Minimum 5 years in enterprise or business architecture, particularly in the energy trading sector.

  • Leadership Skills: Proven track record with at least 5 years in management roles.

  • Location: Based in or willing to relocate to Aalborg, a hub of innovation and the heart of our creative endeavours.
