GDPR Policy Analyst

We’re looking for a brilliant GDPR Policy Analyst to join our team of colleagues in British Gas Business, that together are setting the standard in energy supply.

Working as part of the BGB Customer Response Team, The GDPR Policy Analyst will support the GDPR Policy Lead to deliver against customer data privacy needs. This will include DSARs (Data Subject access requests), data breaches, disclosures, phishing, right to erasure, rectification and to be forgotten. You will ensure we deliver in line with the compliance requirements outlined by regulators.

Accountabilities

  • Manage data subject rights requests, promptly and within statutory time frames.
  • Manage legal data disclosure requests in line with legal requirements and Centrica policy.
  • Support the business in dealing with customer and employee complaints relating to data privacy.
  • Support the business and the Data Privacy Officer in managing data privacy breaches and complaints from the Information Commissioner’s Office.
  • Provide good quality and timely advice to the business on data privacy matters.
  • Support delivery of reports on DSARs and data breaches.
  • Ensure we are on track against and can report against key performance indicators for the team. Responsible for updating the logs on an ongoing basis and tracking and delivering the KPIs monthly.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • A Good understanding of GDPR, Data Privacy and Data Protection regulations and customer privacy rights, support and further guidance will be provided in role.
  • Good understanding of MS Excel, Outlook.
  • Detail orientated individual to ensure thorough and compliant deliveries on customer requirements.
  • Good attention to detail and quality focus.
  • Good communication skills both written and verbally.
  • Excellent knowledge of internal systems and processes including experience with SAP CRM, SAP ISU, Verint (call recordings), AWS Connect and Ensek.
  • Self-starting, ability to work on individual projects as well as part of a team.
  • Proactive thinker, solution orientated.
  • Understanding of the concepts of DPA, PECR and GDPR and how this relates to day-to-day operations.
