Job Title: Data Governance Analyst

Location: Any UK site, will need to travel to Preston, Glascoed & Frimley on occasion. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.

Salary: £40,000 – £45,000 depending on experience and skills

What you’ll be doing:

  • Supporting the business to improve the way we manage our data and contributing to activities to improve the use of data to drive business insight and decision making
  • Assisting with the implementation of the Shared Services data governance framework, to improve data quality and data access across the business
  • Monitoring and reporting of data quality issues and supporting business stakeholders to investigate and resolve these issues
  • Liaising with Data Stewards to ensure that the Shared Services data landscape is documented accurately that Data Management Plans are in place and updated as necessary
  • Monitoring and reporting on the application of data standards to Shared Services data sets
  • Conducting data management maturity assessments, analysing the results, and identifying areas for improvement

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

  • Good understanding of data governance and data management principles
  • Experience of working in the data domain
  • Be able to perform a self-verification of own tasks to ensure completeness and quality of information

Desirable:

  • Knowledge or experience of working with Data Management frameworks, e.g., DAMA
  • Relevant IT degree or business degree or equivalent experience
