An opportunity to play your part – Really exciting time to join the business and be work across the full software development lifecycle of control systems software for power engineering systems. Your role includes collaborating with cross-functional teams, designing software products, implementing, adapting, operating and troubleshooting to meet changing business requirements. You will be working alongside a team of specialists.

The day to day:

• Design, develop and maintain software applications and UI using C# and React.
• Contribute to development across the stack from the front end down to the infrastructure.
• Ensure the best possible performance, reliability and quality of the CBS ICS platforms.
• Collaborate on solutions designs and related code.
• Participate in the software development life cycle from planning to deployment.
• Write clean, maintainable code.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
• Implement and maintain security measures.
• Automate deployment of applications.
• Optimize application performance.
• Mentor and train junior developers as required.
• Growing your skills as a technical professional.

About you:

• Proven experience and knowledge of React and C# is essential.
• In depth industry experience in software development & design.
• Experienced with Microsoft .NET technology stack: C# / .NET, .NET Core, ASP.Net, Web APIs.
• Familiarity with software development principles.
• Experience with Cloud deployment using CI/CD and code management tools like Git.
• JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model.
• Experienced with popular React.js workflows (such as Redux).
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and modern authorization mechanisms such as JSON Web Token.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• A drive to get things done in a collaborative, agile way.

These skills are also desirable:

• SQLserver knowledge and queries for performance and responsiveness.
• Awareness of industrial control systems and operational technology is desirable.
