Compliance IT Programme Manager
Centrica Energy is the trading arm of Centrica. We trade gas, power and LNG and provide the route to market for our upstream and power generation operations.
We provide our clients with the best route-to-market services available to the market today, integrating sophisticated software, trading and structuring and optimizing exposures all the way from long term risk management down to physical trading seconds before delivery. In Centrica Energy we have a diversified portfolio of energy assets under management, and we represent the new generation of energy traders, leading our customers to value on low-carbon, digital energy markets across the World. Around 700 people work for Centrica Energy in our offices in London, Denmark, Germany, Sweden and Singapore.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Compliance IT Programme Manager to join our Project Delivery team! As a Compliance IT Programme Manager, you will be responsible for managing significant projects such as strategic change management, new business and product initiatives and process re-engineering.
About the Role:
Work very closely with various business stakeholders to manage, analyse, prioritise their requirements
Ability to manage multiple data sources and display skills for focused analysis, trending, and qualitatively strong summarization of results.
Lead developers in transforming data from the data warehouse into a suitable format for reporting purposes
Work with developers to set-up business function specific data marts for self-service reporting
Manage enhancements on existing Finance & Compliance functions and help develop new ones in line with organisational requirements
Execute ad-hoc queries and analysis using tools including SQL Server, Excel & BI Tools
Weekly update to senior stakeholders
Lead on transformation initiatives and manage internal groups within Technology, Info Sec, Legal, Assurance, Contract Management
Vendor management
About You:
Strong experience in a data analytics/reporting/management information role
Communication skills and an ability to translate complex business processes into simple data & reporting solutions
Prior experience of working with Finance or/and Compliance teams in a trading environment is highly desirable
Hands on experience of BI and Reporting projects
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively and with people at all levels of the organization
Excellent Business Analysis and organizational skills and capability to handle multiple projects at one time
Experience in working in energy industry for an investment bank, trading house or utility
Experience in working in an agile environment on a large transformation programme
Nice To Have:
Basic knowledge of SQL queries and executing SQL queries to extract data.
Prior experience of working as Data Analyst with Compliance, Finance, Product Control and/or Risk team
Utilization and development of mainstream Business Intelligence tools for data visualization purposes
Experience working on Reg Frameworks such as REMIT, EMIR, MIFID2, Dodd Frank
Experience with working with trading exchanges and venues
Experience of practical implementation of AI in an Enterprise Organisation
