We’re looking for a Senior People Operations Specialist to join our People Experience team and play a key role in delivering a seamless, thoughtful, and scalable employee experience. Reporting to the Senior Director, People Experience, and partnering together with another Senior People Operations Specialist, you’ll own the end-to-end administration of the employee lifecycle and lead projects that drive process excellence and meaningful change. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in the details, sees the bigger picture, and genuinely cares about creating smooth, connected experiences for employees and managers alike. You'll bring strong lifecycle expertise, a project management mindset, and a systems-thinking approach to everything you do - from onboarding to offboarding and every moment in between. What you'll be doing

  • Deliver a Best-in-Class Employee Experience
    • Own key moments across the employee lifecycle to ensure they feel clear, consistent, and thoughtful
    • Act as a trusted guide to Camundi and managers, offering expert support during transitions and sensitive situations
    • Champion a seamless experience by proactively spotting friction points and bringing solutions that enhance clarity, compliance, and care
    • Serve as the go-to partner for lifecycle-related processes, embodying both empathy and operational excellence in every interaction
  • Be a Trusted Partner to Camundi and Managers
    • Provide responsive, human-centered support that builds trust and reflects Camunda's values
    • Empower employees through clear, accessible documentation and resources, promoting self-service and autonomy
    • Identify patterns in employee feedback and proactively suggest improvements to processes, communications, or culture
  • Lead High-Impact, Cross-Functional Projects
    • Drive initiatives that elevate the employee experience, including the implementation of new workflows, tools, and policies
    • Develop clear project plans, manage timelines, and coordinate with stakeholders across various departments to ensure alignment and progress
    • Navigate organizational change with a people-first approach, anticipating resistance and ensuring smooth adoption through effective communication
  • Design for Scale and Simplicity
    • Document, streamline, and continuously improve employee lifecycle processes to ensure scalability and consistency
    • Maintain accurate and reliable employee data across systems, ensuring integrity and compliance
    • Apply a systems-thinking mindset to design processes that are interconnected, efficient, and aligned with organizational goals
  • Make Data-Driven Strategic Decisions
    • Use sound judgment and data to make decisions that balance employee needs, operational goals, and business risk
    • Bring clarity to complex situations by connecting the dots, assessing tradeoffs, and involving the right partners when needed
    • Lead with curiosity and accountability, consistently considering what’s best for the team and the long-term success of Camunda

What you bring:

  • 5+ years in People Operations or HR, with a strong grasp of the end-to-end employee lifecycle
  • A process-oriented mindset with a natural inclination to simplify, scale, and improve how things work
  • Ability to navigate sensitive employee matters with empathy, discretion, and integrity
  • Experience managing cross-functional projects from scoping through execution, with the ability to prioritize and drive progress independently
  • Excellent communication skills: you bring clarity, warmth, and structure to everything you share

Nice to haves:

  • Ability and/or willingness to use our product
  • Strong decision-making skills rooted in data, judgment, and a people-first mindset
  • Experience with HRIS platforms (e.g., Bob, Workday, BambooHR)
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy in systems and documentation
  • Familiarity with integrations or automation tools
  • Exposure to global People Operations, including country-specific lifecycle processes or compliance considerations
  • Comfort working with a high degree of autonomy and accountability
  • Experience in a remote-first environment, familiarity with async-first and distributed work practices

What We Have to Offer:

Compensation

For external hires, we consider the skills and experience of the incoming candidate, but typically place candidates in the first half of the range to ensure ample room for growth over the entire lifecycle of the role.

Below is the annual Total Target Cash Compensation (Total Cash) range for Camundi located in one of our entities. Total Cash refers to base salary and 100% attainment of variable target, where applicable. Actual Total Cash offered will depend on factors such as skills and qualifications related to the role. To comprise the Total Rewards package, Camunda also offers equity (where applicable) in the form of a Virtual Employee Stock Option Plan and benefits based on the country of residence.

The annual Total Cash range for this position for Camundi in our entities is as follows:

  • United States: $100,500.00 to $150,700.00
  • Germany: €66,900.00 to €100,300.00
  • United Kingdom: £65,100.00 to £97,700.00
  • Singapore: S$124,800.00 to S$187,200.00

If you are outside one of these countries, you would be employed by our Preferred Employer Organization (PEO), Remote.
