To highlight you will be required to be at your contractual office location 3 days a week with 2 flexible days per week to work from home.

About this role:

Working as a specialist ‘Bid’ Project Manager and key subject matter expert to define a quality with a competitive delivery approach for a proposed solution or tender (RFI, RFP or ITT) response from BT. It could cover very large, highly complex Project(s) bids consisting of multiple programmes or project portfolio and multiple products including new or unlaunched products globally. It is expected that the value of bids being supported within this role in terms of sales order value, could be up to £100 Million.

The WNB project manager is responsible for managing presales delivery activities including the capturing of customer requirements, breaking down complex technical solutions to create project plans, managing timelines, scoping resource structures, and ensuring a smooth hand-off to delivery teams. You will collaborate with sales and technical teams to craft winning proposals to bring solutions to life. Strong communication, organisational and Project management skills are essential.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Accountable for leading the planning of project(s), programme or portfolio that are large, complex and represent significant benefit / risk to our customers. The delivery will be highly visible and recognisable.
  • Manages project and commercial risk for BT and customers with an ability to use and adapt recognized project management methods and processes depending on elements of the risk profile and governance needs.
  • Bid writing, bringing solutions to life, promoting win themes and communicating confidence to customers.
  • Strong presentation skills either in person or virtually.
  • Ensures the PMO and resourcing functions have clear line of sight of upcoming demand and contract requirements.
  • Act as a customer champion. Establishes customer needs, uses operational and technical expertise to deliver brilliant experiences by resolving customer issues and delivery quality and timeliness.
  • Understanding the customer business context and the impacts the programme has on successful business outcomes.
  • Works in collaboration with the Practice and Hub Managers, and the Client Services team to ensure consistent delivery to customers.

Experience Required:

  • Highly developed project management skills with experience of communicating technical solutions to customers.
  • Great stakeholder management skills. Ability to work with multiple internal and external partners to deliver great outcomes.
  • High degree of personal resilience, influencing skills.
  • Expected to have attained an advanced project management qualification – Prince 2 Practitioner, MSP, APM RPP etc.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and an approach to due diligence.
  • Ability to manage significant level of complexity.
  • Excellent communication, influencing and inter-personal skills.
  • Strong Presenting Skills
  • Creative writing presenting skills to produce content that can persuade a potential customer.
  • Security Clearance would be beneficial
