Job Description

Recruiter: Seema Shivakumar

Hiring Manager: Sharmistha Gargi

Career Grade: D

About the role

The Digital Change - Transformation Manager is responsible for driving strategic transformation initiatives that improve how Digital operates and delivers value to BT.
Working across multiple business areas, you'll lead initiatives from problem definition through to implementation, partnering with stakeholders to turn strategy into measurable outcomes. Success in this role requires strong execution, structured problem-solving and the ability to build alignment across teams.

This is a hands-on role that combines analytical thinking, stakeholder engagement and disciplined delivery. You'll be expected to navigate ambiguity, manage competing priorities and maintain momentum across multiple initiatives while ensuring outcomes are delivered.

This role requires someone who enjoys taking ideas through to implementation. You'll be comfortable following up on actions, coordinating across multiple stakeholders, resolving challenges and maintaining momentum until outcomes are achieved.

What you’ll be doing

1. Lead Transformation Delivery
• Lead end-to-end delivery of strategic transformation initiatives across unit.
• Translate strategic objectives into clear workplans, milestones and measurable outcomes.
• Identify delivery risks, remove blockers and maintain momentum across multiple initiatives.
• Monitor progress and ensure benefits are realised through disciplined execution.

2. Solve Business Problems
• Analyse complex business challenges using data, stakeholder insights and structured problem-solving techniques.
• Facilitate workshops to define issues, align stakeholders and develop practical solutions.
• Develop business cases, recommendations and executive-level presentations that support informed decision-making.

3. Build Alignment
• Build strong working relationships across unit and BT group and influence stakeholders at different levels to achieve shared outcomes.
• Support leaders in embedding change through clear communication, engagement and effective implementation.

Essential Skills / Experience

What We're Looking For - We're looking for individuals who enjoy solving problems, working with people and delivering results.
• Around 3–5 years' professional experience in consulting, transformation, business operations, programme delivery or similar environments.
• MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification preferred.
• Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Ability to organise and manage multiple workstreams simultaneously.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver outcomes in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
• High level of personal ownership, resilience and attention to detail.
• Comfortable balancing strategic thinking with day-to-day execution.
• Experience using data and insights to support business decisions.
• Interest in AI, digital innovation or future ways of working.
You'll Thrive in This Role If You...
• Take ownership and follow through on commitments.
• Can move comfortably between strategic discussions and detailed execution.
• Build credibility through delivery rather than authority.
• Enjoy working across teams and bringing people together.
• Stay organised and focused while managing multiple priorities.
• Are curious, adaptable and willing to learn quickly.
• Bring energy, discipline and pragmatism to solving business problems.
Why Join Us?
• This is more than a transformation role.
• You'll gain exposure to enterprise-wide transformation, AI-enabled change, operating model design and organisational strategy while developing the skills needed to become a future transformation leader.
