Locations: You will be based near any of our hubs - Birmingham, Bristol, London, Manchester, working 3 days in the office and 2 days to suit you

Why this job matters

As the Strategic Cost Transformation Senior Manager, within the Control Tower team, you will be pivotal in driving organizational change towards a cost-conscious mindset and orchestrating cost savings initiatives from inception to maturity. This senior role entails overseeing and enhancing cost-saving measures and managing relationships with senior stakeholders, including Managing Directors and their direct reports across Product, Procurement, Service, and Sales segments. Your leadership will be crucial in aligning these initiatives with the strategic goals of the organization.

What you’ll be doing

  • Strategic oversight and leadership: Lead the development and execution of cost-saving initiatives, aligning them with BT's strategic goals and driving organizational change
  • Cross-Functional Team Coordination: Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams working with stakeholders across Business. Enhance collaboration across teams to maximize operational efficiency
  • Stakeholder communication and management: Maintain a transparent reporting system and regularly collaborate with senior stakeholders (incl. CL As & CL Bs) on the progress of 3PX initiatives to alleviate bottlenecks
  • Change Management and Transformation: Champion organizational change, influencing behaviour and operational practices to foster a culture of efficiency and innovation
  • Idea facilitation and engagement: Conduct and facilitate idea generation sessions, managing the pipeline of cost-saving initiatives; promote active engagement

Experience you'll have

  • Leadership: experience in leading project or change management initiatives, particularly within procurement, product, service, or sales environments.
  • Strategic Thinker: ability to drive strategic change and influence organizational behaviour at all levels including (incl. CL As & CL Bs).
  • Communication Excellence: communication skills, capable of effectively engaging with stakeholders across various levels, including senior management.
  • Project Coordination: Experience in managing multiple workstreams in a cross-functional setting, with a track record of achieving significant organizational impact.
  • Commercially Savvy: Strong understanding of business operations and market dynamics. Ability to align cost-saving initiatives with broader commercial objectives. Experience in identifying revenue-generating opportunities alongside cost reduction.Technical Proficiency: Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, proficient in creating and delivering presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint.
