Why this job matters

This is a newly created and genuinely unique leadership role at the heart of BT Business. It has been designed to strengthen the critical link between winning major business and successfully delivering it.

You’ll shape and deliver some of the UK’s largest and most complex Transition & Transformation (T&T) programmes, while playing a visible role in how BT represents delivery credibility in major bids and deals.

These programmes sit at the centre of customer trust, long‑term growth and significant annual revenue. As the senior escalation point for executive‑level customers and internal leaders, you’ll bring clarity, confidence and momentum to complex delivery environments — from pre‑sales assurance through to in‑life delivery.

If you’re motivated by scale, influence and end‑to‑end ownership, this role offers a rare opportunity to define how BT connects pre‑sales commitments with real‑world delivery outcomes, leaving a lasting mark on customers, people and capability.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll lead end‑to‑end delivery for major, high‑profile programmes while shaping how BT delivers and wins at scale.

  • Own delivery excellence across large, complex T&T programmes and major deals within BT Business UK
  • Represent delivery in pre‑sales environments, providing credible assurance, shaping propositions and influencing bid strategy for major opportunities
  • Support Winning New Business (WNB) by providing delivery sign‑off and acting as a trusted delivery authority for bids, with accountability for successfully transitioning won deals into delivery
  • Deliver what is sold, with a proven focus on turning bid commitments into high‑quality, on‑time and on‑budget delivery outcomes
  • Lead and develop senior programme leaders and practice managers, creating a high‑performing, inclusive and accountable delivery culture
  • Act as the executive escalation point for customers and internal stakeholders, providing confidence in BT’s ability to deliver on its promises
  • Drive performance against critical KPIs, including Keeping Our Promises (KOP), revenue milestones, cost to serve and Net Promoter Score (NPS)Balance commercial rigour with delivery quality, effectively managing delivery costs, timelines and total labour cost (TLC) budgets
  • Shape and deliver transformation initiatives that improve delivery models, customer experience and operational efficiency
  • Build strong partnerships across market units, suppliers and delivery partners to enable sustainable, repeatable delivery success
  • Embed continuous improvement, using lessons learned, standardisation and modern ways of working to continually raise the bar

Essential Skills/Experience

You’ll be a credible, calm and confident senior leader with a strong track record across both pre‑sales and delivery.

You’ll bring:

  • Proven experience representing delivery in complex pre‑sales environments, influencing senior stakeholders and providing delivery assurance on major bids
  • A demonstrable history of successfully delivering the programmes and deals you’ve helped to win
  • The ability to operate comfortably at C‑suite and executive customer level, bringing authority, pragmatism and confidenceStrong commercial awareness, combined with deep delivery expertise and people leadership
