About the role
We are seeking a highly skilled Automation QA Lead to drive a 90%+ automation-first quality engineering strategy for large-scale digital platforms. You will own end-to-end quality across user journeys, APIs, and performance systems, ensuring scalable, resilient, and high-performing applications through modern automation, AI-assisted testing, and continuous delivery practices
What you’ll be doing
- Lead user journey and behaviour-driven automation (BDD/TDD models)
- Drive API automation (REST, GraphQL) and contract testing
- Own performance engineering: load, stress, and scalability testing (JMeter or equivalent)
- Integrate automated tests into
- CI/CD pipelines(Jenkins, GitLab Runners)
- Ensure production quality, observability, and fast defect resolution
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and DevOps teams for shift-left quality
- Mentor QA/SDET engineers and contribute to engineering excellence and innovation
- Leverage AI tools (Copilot, intelligent automation)
Essential Skills / Experience
- Strong expertise in JavaScript / TypeScript
- Hands-on experience with Cypress, Playwright
- Experience building custom automation frameworks and reusable libraries
- TDD, BDD (Cucumber or equivalent)
- Behaviour-driven and user journey-based automation
- Strong understanding of test pyramid (unit, API, UI layers)
- REST API, GraphQL automation
- Contract testing and service validation
Desirable Skills / Experience
- Experience in Telco / OSS-BSS / digital platforms
- Proven track record testing high-scale, distributed systems
- Hands-on exposure to AI/ML, LLM-based testing, self-healing automation
- Experience with micro-frontend and microservices-based testing strategies
- Exposure to security testing and performance optimization at scale
