We are seeking an Assistant Product Marketing Manager to support the development and execution of product marketing approaches that deliver cut through, differentiation and support growth ambitions.

You will be primarily focused on product marketing initiatives to support Data and Developer Solutions - the unit that includes Active Intelligence, BT’s mobile powered insights proposition. You will also have the opportunity to support and gain experience across wider Growth and Go-To-Market workstreams.

This is a cross-functional role that collaborates across Growth and Go-To-Market, Etc. marketing team, brand, product management, sales, commercial, legal and corporate communication teams.

We are looking for somebody who possesses a passion for product marketing, knowledge of new and emerging technologies and trends across B2B geolocation data and insight markets, strong lateral thinking skills and who is excited to work in a low-certainty environment.

Key elements of the role will be to:

  • Deliver product marketing initiatives - for BT Data and Developer Solutions but with opportunities to support and expand knowledge across the wider Growth and Go-To-Market domains
  • Drive development of product marketing assets - including digital content and marketing communications (videos, messaging, visual assets) for successful launches and in-life approaches, collaborating with agency partners and internal teams to deliver
  • Support delivery of the events programme - managing stand collateral and activation, team briefing packs, social assets and associated content
  • Support initiatives that drive product utilisation rates - through motivating in-life product marketing usage and educative content
  • Conduct competitor product marketing audits - making own recommendations and driving this through to application as a result
  • Be ruthlessly customer focussed - by interrogating customer insight and data to identify key customer needs and applying this to product marketing assets
  • Track, measure and monitor Growth & Go-To-Market initiatives – collaborating with the Etc, marketing team on optimisation and recommendations
  • Nurture partnerships with stakeholders and external partners – build relationships and collaborate with them to achieve the product vision

Skills & experience you'll need

Essential

  • Passion for product marketing – strong understanding of product marketing principles and is passionate about growing acumen
  • B2B data and insights knowledge – understanding and experience of geolocation data and insight products, emerging technology trends and B2B business models
  • Zero to one experience and mindset – experience and comfort operating in hands-on, fast moving environment with low certainty and end to end ownership
  • Experience with product marketing and CRM tools – strong working knowledge and experience of using product marketing software packages, CRM (e.g. Salesforce) and reporting tools
