Why this job matters

The Procurement & Commercial Manager will lead global sourcing initiatives within the Network Connectivity category, collaborating with regional teams and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver strategic procurement solutions and cost optimisation opportunities. The role involves managing complex commercial requirements, analysing data for insights, and providing innovative supply chain strategies to support BT’s international business objectives.

What you’ll be doing

  • The successful individual will be part of the Procurement team in Dublin. This team supports global procurement initiatives for the BT international business primarily focused in the category of Network Connectivity.
  • Leading on global initiatives for the Connectivity procurement team, working closely with regionally based procurement colleagues to deliver best outcomes for BT.
  • Running global sourcing activities on our digital tools and project managing, strategic procurement/business opportunities on a global scale.
  • Supporting internal business units on bids and complex customer requirements with creative supply chain solutions for customers.
  • Working with BT International stakeholders (Finance, Product, Operations and Sales) and regional procurement teams to identify cost optimisation opportunities and efficiencies.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams and departments to provide expertise and insights.
  • Testing of data and information using smart techniques and tools such as datavisualisation and trend / pattern analysis.
  • Generating various reports and dashboards related to spend, savings and pricing that deliver key findings / recommendations succinctly and professionally to senior leadership within the procurement and wider organisation.
  • Increasing the adoption of various digital tools and assisting the planning & development of tools and systems to help improve category efficiency and delivery.

You'll have the following skills and experience

  • Someone that’s results orientated and driven, with excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience within a fast-paced Procurement/ Commercially focused business function.
  • Strong project management, stakeholder management and data analysis skills.
  • Ability to work within complex Connectivity supply chain scenarios and provide agile responses to internal stakeholders to assist in the progression of market opportunities.
  • Ability to manage sometimes complex, strategic commercial requirements between internal stakeholders and suppliers and deliver projects and results on time and in full.
  • Good business expertise around supplier capabilities, procurement finance, commercial models and partner programmes required to deliver portfolio and customer requirements.
  • Consulting, Finance, Supply Chain, and Sourcing experience.
  • Advanced level knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Exposure to digital sourcing tools and willingness to learn and develop further.
