The PPC & Affiliates Manager is responsible for delivering significant business growth through expert management of paid search and affiliate marketing channels. By combining advanced technical knowledge, commercial acumen, and strong leadership, this role ensures campaigns are optimised for maximum efficiency and impact. The manager drives innovation, manages budgets, and collaborates with internal and external partners to achieve ambitious performance targets and support the overall growth strategy.

What you’ll be doing

  • Lead the planning, execution, and optimisation of PPC campaigns (Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, etc.) and affiliate programmes, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Manage budgets, bids, and performance analytics to maximise ROI, efficiency, and incremental growth.
  • Oversee keyword strategy, ad copy, landing page optimisation, and affiliate partner recruitment and management.
  • Diagnose and resolve campaign issues, identifying opportunities for improvement and innovation.
  • Collaborate with finance, analytics, and performance teams to ensure accurate forecasting, reporting, and budget control.
  • Ensure compliance with platform policies, data privacy, and affiliate best practices.
  • Provide guidance and support to cross-functional teams, sharing expertise and driving adoption of best practices.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and platform updates to maintain a leading edge in PPC and affiliate marketing.

Skills required for the job

  • Advanced expertise in paid search marketing (Google Ads, Microsoft Ads) and affiliate marketing ecosystems.
  • Strong analytical skills for campaign analysis, bid management, and ROI optimisation.
  • In-depth understanding of attribution, tracking, and compliance (e.g., GDPR, platform policies).
  • Commercial awareness and experience negotiating with networks, publishers, and partners.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with agencies, finance, analytics, and senior stakeholders.
  • Organisational skills to manage multiple campaigns, budgets, and reporting requirements.
  • Leadership qualities to influence and guide teams, even without direct line management.
  • Adaptability and a proactive approach to testing, learning, and implementing new strategies.

Experience you would be expected to have

  • Demonstrated experience in PPC and affiliate marketing, including hands-on campaign management and optimisation.
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding performance targets in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with budget management, forecasting, and financial reporting for marketing activities.
  • Background in negotiating with affiliate networks, publishers, and partners.
  • Exposure to working with cross-functional teams (e.g., analytics, finance, creative) to deliver integrated campaigns.
  • Familiarity with compliance, tracking, and platform standards affecting campaign delivery.
  • Experience supporting or leading transformation initiatives or process improvements in digital marketing.
