About the role

The Tenant Connectivity Specialist acts as the front door for Network Cloud connectivity demand, helping tenants migrate applications and services while maintaining links to 21C, Omninet, legacy WANs, enterprise cloud platforms, firewalls, operational tools and other critical systems. The role assesses requirements, defines supportable connectivity solutions, and coordinates delivery with the appropriate teams.

Focused on complex, non-standard onboarding, the role supports migrations, EMS/NMS connectivity, TSA-driven demand and other requests requiring network design, technical recommendations and implementation planning.

The role also drives continuous improvement by feeding lessons learned into onboarding standards, automation, documentation, portal enhancements and front-door processes, making future connectivity requests simpler, faster and safer to deliver.

What you’ll be doing

• Own complex tenant connectivity front-door requests into Network Cloud, especially where requirements need thought, discovery and technical interpretation before delivery.
• Work directly with tenants, programmes and internal teams to understand what is being moved, what systems need to connect, what legacy dependencies remain, and what outcome the customer needs.
• Translate application, EMS, NMS, collector and operational tooling requirements into clear connectivity options across Network Cloud, 21C, Omninet, Enterprise Cloud and legacy WAN environments.
• Produce small, practical connectivity designs and recommendations that are secure, supportable and aligned to approved Network Cloud patterns.
• Support Security, Data & AI and fixed networks with connectivity requirements, helping application migrations land in Network Cloud with the right connectivity agreed and delivered.
• Coordinate delivery across platform, firewall, IP addressing, routing, service, security, Omninet, 21C and supplier teams where end-to-end delivery crosses multiple domains.
• Implement or drive the implementation of agreed connectivity changes, ensuring the required testing, assurance, change control and operational handover are completed.
• Help resolve connectivity blockers during onboarding and migration, including routing, firewall, reachability, naming, interconnect and handover issues.
• Create and maintain design notes, connectivity diagrams, implementation plans, decision records and operational handover material.
• Identify repeatable patterns and improvement opportunities, feeding into Network Cloud onboarding, portal journeys, templates, guardrails and process optimisation.
• Work with the wider onboarding and service teams to support standard tenant onboarding when demand requires it.

Essential Skills / Experience

• Strong end-to-end ​ knowledge of BT Core WAN platforms covering routing, switching, firewalls, segmentation, DNS and WAN connectivity troubleshooting.
• Ability to take unclear tenant requirements and convert them into clear connectivity designs, implementation plans and technical recommendations.
• Proven experience coordinating delivery across multiple technical teams to implement connectivity solutions, manage dependencies and achieve successful onboarding outcomes.

Desirable Skills / Experience

• Working knowledge of Network Cloud, OpenStack-based environments, tenant onboarding, service onboarding or platform consumption models.
• Experience with 21C, Omninet, Enterprise Cloud, legacy WAN connectivity, carrier-grade networks or equivalent large enterprise network services.
• Exposure to Telecom Security Act drivers, Interstellar programme, NOFs, application migration programmes or secure-by-design platform controls.
• Experience improving onboarding processes, front-door request journeys, self-service portals, templates, guardrails or automation opportunities.
• Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD, firewall automation, request workflows or Git-based documentation/change practices.
• Relevant network or cloud accreditation such as JNCIA, CCNA/CCNP, Linux, cloud networking or equivalent practical experience.
