Flexible Working

BT operates a 3 together, 2 wherever working model. This means you are required to be at your contractual location 3 days a week with 2 flexible days per week

About the role

BT Group is developing a connected leadership development ecosystem spanning multiple leadership identities. Together, these programmes support senior leaders, future enterprise leaders and people managers with a shared leadership language, while providing experiences tailored to the needs of each audience.

This is a high-profile portfolio at the heart of BT’s leadership and culture ambitions. As the programmes move from design and mobilisation into delivery and business-as-usual operation, the focus is on turning the roadmap into consistent, high-quality experiences that are well coordinated across programme teams, business units, partners and participant populations.

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to bring delivery discipline, structure and control across the leadership development portfolio. You will ensure integrated plans are clear, progress is visible, dependencies are actively managed and governance runs smoothly, enabling programme leads and subject matter experts to focus on content, design and participant impact.

In this role, you will maintain momentum and confidence across three programmes, while protecting the distinct scope and audience of each. You will connect shared milestones, resources, communications, suppliers, data and reporting to ensure the portfolio operates as one joined-up leadership system rather than a collection of separate interventions.

This is an opportunity to play a central role in delivering leadership development at scale, supporting experiences that build leadership capability, strengthen people management practice and embed BT’s leadership expectations across the organisation.

What you’ll be doing

•Develop and maintain an integrated delivery plan across the leadership portfolio, managing milestones, dependencies, critical paths and shared delivery requirements.
•Coordinate activity across programmes while maintaining clarity on the distinct scope, audiences and outcomes of each.
•Coordinate end-to-end programme delivery, including onboarding, events, learning sessions, assessments, coaching, peer learning and close-out activity.
•Work with programme leads and subject matter experts to translate agreed designs into clear delivery plans, participant journeys and operational requirements.
•Lead portfolio governance and delivery cadences, ensuring clear ownership, timely decisions and effective follow-through.
•Own RAID management across the portfolio, tracking risks, issues, dependencies, actions and decisions and escalating emerging concerns early.
•Maintain robust programme documentation, controls and evidence to support effective governance and assurance.
•Produce clear, accurate portfolio reporting, dashboards and progress updates for senior stakeholders.
•Coordinate evaluation and data collection across programmes, using insight to identify emerging risks, opportunities and areas for improvement.
•Build strong working relationships across programme leads, business units, People & Culture, Communications & Culture teams and external delivery partners.
•Coordinate shared milestones, communications and programme touchpoints, ensuring stakeholders remain aligned and informed.
•Coordinate programme logistics, including venues, scheduling, participant administration, materials and delivery readiness.
Support budget tracking, purchase orders, invoices and supplier management, ensuring partner deliverables and milestones remain on track.

Essential Skills / Experience

•Strong project management experience in complex, multi-stakeholder environments, with the ability to coordinate delivery across multiple teams and partners.
•Proven ability to manage integrated plans, dependencies, risks and governance, keeping delivery on track in a fast-paced environment.
•Confident stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build relationships, influence effectively and drive accountability across teams and partners.

Desirable Skills / Experience

•Ability to coordinate multiple programmes or workstreams, managing shared resources, priorities and milestones.
•Comfortable working effectively within a large, complex or matrixed organisation.
•Strong organisational skills, with a high level of attention to detail and a proactive approach to delivery and follow-through.
•Knowledge of leadership development, learning, talent, organisational development or wider People & Culture programmes.
•Background in coordinating participant-facing programmes, virtual events or blended learning experiences.
•Skilled in working with external suppliers, managing programme budgets and coordinating programme logistics.
•Familiarity with Agile, hybrid or other structured programme delivery approaches.
•Understanding of programme evaluation, data collection, reporting and measurement of programme impact.
