Why this job matters

As an Assurance Manager, you will be responsible for driving assurance activities across the Internal Controls over Financial Reporting (ICOFR). This role is critical to ensuring the integrity, reliability, and compliance of Financial reporting processes – whether automated or manual.

What you’ll be doing

Role-Specific responsibilities:

IT Controls Assurance:

  • Perform assurance and testing of IT General Controls (ITGC) and IT Application Controls (ITAC) relevant to Financial Reporting.
  • Provide subject matter expertise in SAP and legacy applications control testing and configuration.
  • Responsible for supporting Business role design across a wide range of SAP technologies.
  • Collaborate with Digital compliance teams to ensure effective control design and implementation.
  • Support remediation of issues identified through testing or identified by users and corresponding fixes as needed.
  • Enable utilisation of SAP GRC functionality for automated access control functionality.
  • Supporting on communication and explanation of key control design and functionality with respect to external stakeholders such as external audit.

The skills and experience you will need

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or related field; CA, CFE, CISA, CIA preferred.
  • 6–12 years’ experience, including experience in Risk, Compliance, Controls, or Assurance is a plus
  • Strong knowledge of SOX, ICOFR, COSO, and control frameworks.
  • Experience in SAP environments (for IT-focused role) and SAP GRC role design will be an advantage
  • Strong understanding of fraud risk management principles (for fraud-focused role).
  • Proven experience in process control testing and assurance (for process controls-focused role).
  • Strong analytical and technical mindset; able to simplify complex controls.
  • Confident communicator with stakeholder management skills.
  • Comfortable working independently and virtually.
  • Curious, pragmatic, and improvement driven.
  • Able to coach junior team members and challenge the status quo.
