Job role

The Integration Lead with a staging focus will oversee the design, configuration, testing of network infrastructure using Cisco and Juniper hardware for multiple parties or clients. They will lead a team responsible for staging environments, ensuring compatibility, reliability, and security prior to deployment.

Requirements and Behaviour

Experience:
• Minimum 8 years of experience in designing, configuring, and testing enterprise-level networks.
• Proven experience with Cisco and Juniper hardware platforms, including routers, switches, and firewalls.

Certifications:
• Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) in Routing and Switching or Service Provider.
• Juniper Networks Certified Internet Expert (JNCIE) in Enterprise Routing and Switching or Service Provider.

Skills:
• Expert knowledge of network design principles and best practices.
• Proficiency in configuring and testing Cisco and Juniper hardware for staging environments.
• Strong understanding of network protocols and technologies (e.g., TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VLANs).
• Experience with network security principles and practices.
• Effective leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for coordinating with multiple parties or clients.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a dynamic environment.

Preferred Additional Skills:
• Familiarity with software-defined networking (SDN) and network virtualization technologies.
• Experience with cloud networking solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Knowledge of network automation and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Ansible).

• Ability to lead and mentor team members in a collaborative environment.

Activities to fulfil

1. Leading the design and configuration of network architectures using Cisco, Juniper, and other hardware for staging environments.
2. Managing and coordinating staging activities for multiple parties or clients, ensuring all requirements and specifications are met.
3. Testing and validating network configurations to ensure functionality, performance, and security compliance.
4. Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to define staging requirements and timelines.
5. Providing technical guidance and mentorship to staging team members, ensuring adherence to best practices and standards.
6. Troubleshooting staging issues and implementing solutions to resolve configuration conflicts or performance bottlenecks.
7. Documenting staging processes, configurations, and test results for reference and knowledge sharing.
8. Supporting deployment teams during transition phases from staging to production environments.
