What Investigo employees think

Mentions of

a great company, with a great culture and treats its people like adults

It's been brilliant since I've joined Investigo. Night and day difference between here and my old place. Perks, culture, flexibility...just everything really. I can't think of any other company that could be even close to Investigo on all it offers!

I think we have the balance right here at Investigo, we work 2 or 3 days in the office to focus on activities that 'work' in the office, so team based sessions and face to face learning. The work at home is then focused on resourcing or speaking to candidates. I actually look forward to going into the office as I'm a social person and quite like a lot of the people I work with! Working from home 5 days a week isn't optimal for me, likewise nor is 5 days in commuting either.

Investigo prioritise a culture in which you are allowed to work out the best way to operate, based on your personal circumstances. It was a key reason I joined!

Enjoying the mature, autonomous environment! Everyone is accountable for their own work and how they manage their time.

High performance and wellbeing go hand in hand. The culture is supportive, energising and positive.

Having worked in the industry for nearly 20 years, I can honestly say I’ve never come across a more flexible, trusting, autonomous working environment in Recruitment. You certainly have to be entrepreneurial and capable to work here, if you are, you’ll flourish.

Brilliant working environment, with a focus on output rather than presenteeism. Such a refreshing change.

Investigo is a great company to work for! My favourite!

Treated like adults, something many companies in Recruitment fail to do - this encourages me to work harder from home and strive for excellence more so than when I worked for a corporate machine - keep it up TIG - we will get through the slower market and come out stronger!

The people here are great -respectful, collaborative and supportive.

No one day is the same.

Recognition initiatives.

Quarterly and annual events provide opportunity to celebrate successes, gain business updates and network with colleagues from other teams and locations.

Breadth of internal committees and their focus which comes through into our culture and practices.

Being a very hands on Dad, it is so important that I am offered the flexibility and security that I can carry out my duties and feel supported and encouraged to do so. My seniors all not only support that I be the best Dad I can, they encourage it, no matter what time of the day that is. 2pm parent updates, or 2pm Easter Bonnet parades. I couldn't ask for anymore.

Investigo is an absolutely fantastic company - the best one I've ever worked for.

My boss is also incredibly supportive, patient and helpful, ensuring the whole team isn't feeling stressed or restricted or impacted negatively by presenteeism or similar points that have plagued many companies.

It creates a trusting, mature and successful environment where people perform incredibly highly.

I intend on staying at Investigo for many, many more years and both my job and my boss are 2 things in my life for which I am incredibly grateful.

We are treated like adults, and trusted to get the job done. As a performance led business, it's great we can have this level of autonomy to work, this is unusual in other agencies. The support and guidance is always available here for when we need it. The business really invests in developing people and ensuring it maintains it's amazing culture. Love it!

Great flexibility, with full autonomy to work in the way that works for you. The benefits package is great with a good range of benefits to cover most wants/needs.

About us

When Investigo started back in 2003, we were just a handful of people recruiting accountancy and finance jobs in London. How things have changed.

Through credit crunches and global pandemics, through ups and downs and everything in between, we’ve managed to keep on growing. But we’ve never lost that sense of who we are. We’ve stayed authentic, down-to-earth, and on a level. We’re unashamedly true to ourselves and those we work with.

We now have a team with over 300 people across London, Guildford, Milton Keynes, St Albans, Birmingham, New York, Philadelphia and San Diego, covering over 20 recruitment specialisms. With organisations’ needs and jobseekers’ expectations constantly evolving in an unpredictable world, we have no plans to stop there. Who knows what we could be recruiting 10 years from now?

At Investigo we don’t see ourselves purely as recruiters. We prefer to think of ourselves as a long term recruitment partner guiding you through your career – whether you’re the hire or the hirer.

Flexible working at Investigo

Everyone has different circumstances, different priorities and different passions. And, whatever they are, we believe everyone should feel happy and empowered to do their best work. That’s why we run and sponsor a wide range of wellbeing initiatives and flexible working policies.

  • We have a super flexible working policy, with core office hours and lots of remote working
  • We have a discretionary finish at noon every Friday
  • We run an annual Investing in You event to help people navigate all of the amazing opportunities we offer
  • We have our own set of Peloton bikes
  • We run lots of wellbeing initiatives, from yoga and martial arts to morning raves and speaker sessions
  • We encourage everyone to look after their mind, body and soul
  • We have a very active Wellbeing and Engagement committee
  • We offer private health insurance, eye tests, discounted gym memberships and more
  • We’ve invested in four mental health First Aiders, who are on-site to support wellbeing

Approach to diversity & inclusion

Our mission is to be the change we want to see.

If you were wondering why those words sound familiar, they’re Gandhi’s. But they resonated with us when we set about planning what we’d be doing for the environment, society, and our people, as part of our ESG strategy.

It’s something that we care about at TIG on a personal level and is why we’ve invested so much to make sure we’re actively doing good, and not merely thinking we are. The way we hold ourselves to account is through our four committees which focus on DEI, Environment, Wellbeing and Engagement, and our Charity partnerships.

What do we think of Investigo?

Investigo offer fantastic flexibility and have a huge focus on DEI in the workplace, which we LOVE to see! They have a real people-first approach and you definitely won't be seen as 'just a number' here... the possibilities for growth are endless.

Meet who might be hiring you

The word ‘corporate’ is one we avoid at TIG. It’s just not how we roll. We don’t have a rulebook, expenses policy or book of scripts we hand over to our consultants. So, whilst we’re sizeable and have been going for almost twenty years, we think more like a start-up. That’s why you’re empowered at TIG if you spot an opportunity and have the passion and know-how to run with it.

You’ll find an abundance of growth opportunities in our group and see that we invest in these generously. Your development is not just mapped out with you four times a year, but actively championed – so when you do well, we’re vocal about giving you kudos publicly and reward you for your hard work and effort.

So, if you’re creative and want to be empowered, you’ll never have your wings clipped if you join us. At TIG nothing makes us happier than to see each other fly high and we have a blast doing it along the way.
