Why this job matters

The HR Business Partner drives partnerships with functional managers to translate business objectives into people strategies. The role directs the planning and delivery of HR programmes and services, supports organisational change and colleague experience for the business.

What you’ll be doing

1. Manages the delivery of proactive, strategic guidance and support for organisational planning and development initiatives that align the people agenda in support of key business strategies and initiatives, enabling performance and growth.
2. Provides strategic HR guidance to senior leaders, offering insight, challenge, and thought leadership on people-related matters.
3. Manages functional performance management, consistently measuring the effectiveness of people initiatives and programmes to ensure they are delivering desired outcomes.
4. Leads business partnering for managers with employee attraction, development, and retention issues which may include annual reviews, leadership coaching, career pathing, advanced people reporting and metrics and special project assistance. Supports performance management, using data and metrics to evaluate the impact of people initiatives and drive continuous improvement.
5. Engages with the organisation and key stakeholders to drive inclusive culture and provide regular progress updates to business leaders.
6. Coaches managers on people policies and processes, including organisational design, change management, talent management, and leadership capability to promote engagement and a culture of continuous growth and development.
7.Supports collaborations with functional leadership and the director of talent acquisition to identify and prioritise current and future talent needs.
8. Provides expert advice on HR policies and practices, coaching managers to build leadership capability and engagement.
9. Facilitates cross-functional collaboration, ensuring alignment across HR functions and effective delivery of people solutions.
10. Acts as a trusted advisor, building strong relationships across all levels of the organisation to influence and support decision-making.
11. Mentors HR colleagues, sharing expertise and staying informed on emerging HR trends and best practices.
