Job Description
KEY PURPOSE OF ROLE
The primary objective of this role is to actively perform in successful delivery of day-to-day operational task of Accounts Payable process and supporting local compliance as per regional requirement in AMEA.
This Accounts Payable process involves major activities such as:
- Supplier Invoice Receiving
- Invoice scanning to Mark View System
- Manual invoice processing
- Invoice due diligence
- Managing internal and external stakeholders
- Withholding tax compliance (TDS)
- Regional compliance for AMEA
- Month end task like preparing manual JV during month end for accrual, re-class, reversal etc.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
THE CORE ACTIVITIES, OUTPUTS EXPECTED OF THE ROLE, REGULATORY & LEGAL REQUIREMENTS
- Act as a subject matter expert in Accounts payable
- Good accounting knowledge with ability to work on double entry system and bank recon etc.
- Ensure the process delivers with the highest level of quality and ensure great customer experience.
- Well organised and delivers to set deadlines as dictated by month end, quarter end financial requirements etc. With accuracy and sticking to timelines and quality.
- Handle regional complexities and adherences to local legislations/taxes, Compliances etc." and overseeing routine daily activities.
- Facilitate sharing of best practice across GFSS locations and towers & maintain strong relationships.
- Maintain relationship with CFU's / sub towers / External partners/cross geographies”.
- Lead and deliver on effective standardised internal Process Controls for Invoice management Tower; in line with agreed KPI's, and in support of Group-wide business activities
- Ensure automations / process improvements for reducing operational costs"
- Identify potential sensitive issues and escalate to the appropriate level
- Ensures all control processes are executed effectively, and evidence are created and saved.
Experience and Professional Qualifications
- Minimum 2+ years’ experience in the finance domain in accounts payables area
- Commitment to continuous improvement
- Having good ERP understanding (R12)
- Indian accounting understanding along with AMEA regional compliance
- Understands SLAs and KPI’s.
- Self-motivated, Works with minimum supervision seeking assistance where appropriate.
- Open to work in shifts
- Open to cross train and support another region work whenever required.
