Why this job matters

This role is critical in ensuring that procurement processes are efficient, transparent, and aligned with the BT and BT Sourced strategic goals. By overseeing the entire procurement lifecycle—from sourcing to contract management and hand over to supplier in-life management, the End-to-End Procurement Process Senior Manager helps reduce risk, drive cost savings, and enhance value delivery. Their leadership ensures that procurement not only supports day-to-day operations but also contributes to long-term business resilience and innovation.

What you’ll be doing

  • Process Ownership & Governance: Lead the design, standardization, and governance of end-to-end fully digitalised procurement processes, ensuring alignment with business strategy, compliance, and best practices.
  • Process Improvement & Optimization: Identify and implement opportunities to streamline procurement workflows, reduce cycle times, and enhance operational efficiency through automation and digital tools.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal stakeholders across sourcing, finance, legal, and business units to ensure procurement processes meet evolving business needs and deliver value.
  • Technology & Systems Enablement: Drive the effective use of procurement technologies (e.g., S2C, P2P, CLM platforms), ensuring systems are optimized to support process efficiency and data integrity.
  • Performance Management & Reporting: Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track process effectiveness, compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Risk & Compliance Management: Ensure procurement processes adhere to internal controls, regulatory requirements, and ethical standards, mitigating risk across the supply chain.
  • Change Leadership: Lead change management efforts to embed new processes, tools, and ways of working across the organization, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Capability Building: Provide training and guidance to Category teams to enhance procurement process knowledge and adoption across teams and geographies.
  • Team Leadership & Development: Manage and develop a high-performing team across on-site and offshore locations, fostering collaboration, accountability, and professional growth through coaching, mentoring, and performance management.

You'll have the following skills and experience

  • Ability to design and implement procurement strategies aligned with business goals.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess process performance, identify gaps, and drive data-informed decisions.
  • Deep understanding of Source-to-Contract (S2C) and a general understanding of Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes.
  • Familiarity with procurement operating models, compliance frameworks, contract in-life management and industry best practices.
  • Proficiency in procurement platforms (e.g., SAP Ariba, Coupa, Oracle).
  • Experience with automation, workflow tools, and data analytics to drive process efficiency.
  • Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop diverse teams across on-site and offshore locations.
  • Strong focus on team engagement, performance management, and capability building.
  • Skilled in leading transformation initiatives and embedding new processes and tools.
  • Ability to influence and drive adoption across complex stakeholder landscapes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to translate complex process concepts into clear, actionable insights for stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of procurement-related risks, controls, and regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to embed compliance into process design and execution.
  • Passion for innovation and process excellence.
  • Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
