Job Description

Job Req ID: 63703

#LI-BTSourced #Procureco #LI-TE1 #LI-Hybrid

About the role

Here at BT Sourced, we’re redefining procurement from top to bottom. We’re BT owned but operate as a standalone company, with a focus on making procurement simpler, more digital and more sustainable. We’re building a diverse team of brilliant people who want to challenge traditional ways of working and help shape the future of procurement.

As a Digital Analyst within our Procurement Excellence Team in Dublin, you’ll work across Data, Procurement, Digital and Technology to understand business challenges and translate them into practical, value-driven digital solutions. You’ll identify internal capabilities and external suppliers, gather requirements, explore emerging technologies and help take solutions from initial concept through to implementation and adoption.

This role matters because we’re increasingly relying on data-driven intelligence to make faster, better and more strategic decisions. You’ll contribute to complex, cross-functional projects, helping us use technologies such as AI, automation and analytics to improve efficiency, performance and user experience across procurement.

What you’ll be doing

  • Translate business needs into clear, prioritised and validated requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria, enabling internal teams and external suppliers to deliver the right solutions efficiently.
  • Identify, evaluate and pilot emerging technologies, including AI, automation and analytics, turning suitable opportunities into scalable solutions with measurable business value.
  • Lead the successful launch and adoption of digital products by preparing business stakeholders, communicating expected benefits and ensuring solutions deliver measurable value by working with cross-functional technical teams or external suppliers.
  • Shape future business strategy and approach-to-market plans by assessing vendors and products against business needs, strategic fit, cost, scalability and expected value.
  • Undertake initial data investigation and exploratory data analysis to support procurement business needs.
  • Support end users by investigating and resolving business data, process and system-related issues, coordinating with relevant teams to achieve timely resolution.
  • Identify project risks, dependencies and changes, ensuring appropriate intervention and clear communication to stakeholders.
  • Build effective partnerships between business and technical teams, resolve issues and gather relevant information.
  • Drive innovation initiatives that deliver measurable business outcomes and improved user experiences.

Essential Skills / Experience

  • Relevant digital and transformation experience: Experience within Product Ownership, Business Analysis, Digital Transformation, data improvement or Technology Delivery, with experience delivering digital products, platforms or process transformation initiatives.
  • Business analysis and problem solving: Strong experience gathering and translating business needs into clear requirements and actionable solutions, including the ability to turn ambiguous business problems into measurable requirements and analytical frameworks.
  • Stakeholder and cross-functional working: Strong communication, stakeholder management, facilitation and influencing skills, with experience working across business, technology, data and operations teams.
  • Data and digital understanding: Understanding of data sources, structures, reporting approaches and performance measures, alongside an awareness of AI-enabled tools, workflow automation and AI-driven solutions.

Desirable Skills / Experience

  • Experience driving product roadmaps, backlogs, prioritisation and release planning.
  • Experience within Procurement, Supply Chain, Finance, Shared Services or Operations environments.
  • Experience using Microsoft Copilot Studio or comparable low-code and AI-enabled solutions.
  • Experience creating wireframes, mock-ups, prototypes or proofs of concept.
  • Experience using tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, reporting platforms or SQL to support solution development and analysis.
  • Familiarity with delivery and work-management tools such as DevOps, Jira, Planner or equivalent platforms.

Our Package

  • 10% on target bonus
  • 25 days annual leave + bank holidays and an opportunity to buy up to five more days every year
  • Hybrid working, with state-of-the-art offices within Canal Plaza
  • BT Sourced Pension Scheme - 6% BT contributions
  • Life Assurance from 1st day of employment - 4x salary
  • We provide healthcare cover and permanent health insurance (income continuance)
  • Access to excellent training tools, programmes and communities to help you connect, learn and grow.
  • And we like it when our people do good things so there will be the opportunity to take time off for volunteering and we'll help with your fundraising too.

BT Group is the UK’s leading communications group and the holding company behind some of the country’s most recognised brands – including BT, EE, Openreach and Plusnet. Our purpose is as simple as it is ambitious: we connect for good. Our customers include consumers, small, medium and large businesses, public sector organisations and other communications providers.

BT Group’s role is about setting direction, unlocking value and creating the conditions for our brands and businesses to thrive.

Having come through the most capital-intensive phase of our fibre investment, our focus now is on what comes next – simplifying how we operate, using technology and AI to work smarter, and organising ourselves to serve customers better and grow sustainably. Group teams shape strategy, policy, brand, capital allocation and transformation, helping the whole organisation perform at its best.

We have a singular culture that unites all our people: we are customer-first challengers, who are committed, clear and connected. These behaviours unite us as one team to deliver for our colleagues, our customers, our stakeholders and the country. Joining BT Group means working at the heart of a business that matters to the UK, with the opportunity to shape decisions, influence outcomes and help set the future course of one of the country’s most important companies.
