About the role

The Data Governance Professional supports the implementation of BT Group's data governance strategy, applying practical working knowledge of data governance to ensure data remains accurate, consistent, secure, and aligned with strategic objectives.

What you’ll be doing

1.Supports the implementation of the data governance strategy roadmap.
2.Supports the monitoring of data governance policies and procedures to ensure data integrity and privacy and monitor overall data quality.
3.Communicates the benefits of data governance policies and procedures within the context of the user's needs.
4.Executes the documenting and implementing of data governance policies, standards, and procedures in existing and new data environments.
5.Supports the enhancement of data security practices in reducing risks.
6.Supports collaboration with key stakeholders to ensure acceptance and sponsorship for data governance policy.
7.Supports the following of data governance policies and practices throughout BT group.
8.Contributes towards a culture of data across the BT group.
9.Supports in the implementation of ways to improve working processes within the area of data governance.
