• review and support standard designs and incorporate solutions to standard solutions
• Improve ways of working showing a clear understanding of current business challenges to control/reduce cost and drive re-use

• Demonstrating technical SME in functional area
• Operating within an efficient Design Lifecycle
• Complex Solution requirements, definition and engineering
• Post go live support
• Pre and post-Sales support

What you’ll be doing

• Engage with pre sales teams and clients to capture specific requirements and address them customizing existing products or collaborating on the design of ad-hoc solutions.
• Creating High and Low Level Designs including network equipment configuration and ensuring integrity during solution life cycle
• Build and maintain relationships with Solution Architects, Design Specialists, Business Analysts and Solution Delivery Managers in a project context.
• Manage technical escalations from suppliers, operations, and application teams
• Virtual team working
1. Supports the development of deep technical and repeatable solutions that achieve customer requirements driving positive outcomes.
2. Supports the development of innovative and repeatable solution architectures and use cases to meet agreed requirements and business objectives.
3. Supports business stakeholders' understanding of capabilities and the transformative power of group products, services and technology.
4. Supports with the translation of requirements into product configuration and implementation standards.
5. Executes work in delivering initiatives that are a part of the company's overall commercial strategy.
6. Executes and delivers work using solution patterns and solution architecture best practices within procedures to deliver the strategy and vision of the solution architecture specialism .
7. Supports in the implementation of ways to improve working processes within the area of solution architecture

Experience required

• Able to demonstrate a career involved with designing new network products and services or orchestrating change to existing ones
• Articulation of the business and operational risks involved in new and emerging technology and its adoption into a eco-system
• A history of Customer facing engagement at relevant levels
• Experience on other technical functions related to networking platforms : delivery, service assurance, network BSS/OSS system also considered

Skills required

• Network design engineering principles including test case construct and execution
• Knowledge and experience on L3 and extranet networking technologies : MPLS, BGP, IPSEC/IKEv2, VRF/virtualization, Qos
• Prioritisation of tasks based on business priorities
• Ideally Cisco/security/Cloud qualified to a medium/high level, CCIE/CCNP AWS
• High self-management across multiple work streams and dependencies
• Basic knowledge/understanding of DevOps/DevNet technologies
