Why this job matters

As a Contract Specialist you will be joining the intervention squad, who responsible for working through complex issues (such as inaccurate billing, tariff errors, customer dissatisfaction) on unmanaged bespoke contracts where inventory, invoicing and service issues are impacting P&L and NPS. You will identify root causes to ensure repeat issues don’t happen. Working across internal stakeholders (within the continuous improvement and transformation teams) to customers are not impacted repeatedly.

This role is to cover maternity leave for 12 months.

What you’ll be doing

  • Accountable for returning priority contracts to NPS & P&L health so they can go back to BAU process, by building strong relationships with senior customer stakeholders. You will be the main interface lead for the customer on all contractual / commercial topics throughout deep dive activity.
  • Billing Management: ensures global billing accuracy and management of CBS for contracts​​.
  • Determine, develop and deliver change control and revenue opportunity as part of the priority contract deep dives, handing over sales opportunity where appropriate, as well as supporting the contract management organisation across a number of activities such as contract governance (CGRs), risk management / mitigation & obligations, customer support, debt, P&L management.
  • Champion the maximisation of Commercial Opportunities, including documenting and negotiating disputes, in pursuit of a long-term profitable customer relationship.
  • Independently maintain records for complex decision points, financial performance, service delivery, billing, efficiency of change controls and general support activities in relation to a contract. Determining forecasting support such as timely scheduling of forecasting calls with Contract Accountants and others, ensuring all revenue generated from change control have been included.

  • Excellent stakeholder management, with confidence to resolve disputes, negotiations, and complex problems.
  • Ideal background in telecoms or utilities, managing customer facing issues.
  • Ability to identify & solve complex queries and business problems using strategic thinking.
  • Experience working across organisational boundaries to generate continuous improvement, preventing repeat and recurring issues.
  • Knowledge of governance & compliance methods, along with best practice contract management methods.
