About the role

This role is a critical for successful rollout of our new common Delivery Framework and operating model across BT Group, providing on what good looks like, and enabling interdependent teams to speak the same language. This role primarily supports the Content Editor Specialist in producing and managing the content that forms the single source of truth playbook for colleagues involved in delivery, establishing colleague memory of good practice with inputs, outputs, critical steps, templates, and artefacts that form the Delivery standards. The Content Editor Specialist will product content, execute against the content management strategy, and conduct user research as needed, in service of ensuring accuracy and clarity of the published delivery standards and driving up usage of the Wayfinder service and understanding/adoption of the Delivery Methodology

What you’ll be doing

• Supports the content creation strategy and contributes to content production of high-quality and engaging content on delivery standards
• Support the team’s mission through a combination of data analysis, contact analysis, end-user research, and content audits to improve user engagement and experience
• Delivers standard content editing approaches, activities and deliverables covered by guidelines at both the operational and project levels
• Supports delivery of digital-first experiences drive up usage, understanding and effectiveness of the published standards in order to enable improved delivery performance and outcomes across the Digital Portfolio
• Scopes and runs user research and translates into action-oriented insight
• Operates content management systems to maintain accuracy and relevant of Wayfinder content
• Assists in the implementation of ways to improve the technical work within area of responsibility using partner feedback, user testing results, and other research to improve content
• Ensures all content is aligned with the BT Group brand tone of voice, meets AA accessibility standards and is legally compliant

Essential Skills / Experience

• Delivery methodologies: Demonstrable understanding of different industry best practice delivery methodologies
• Content management: Leverages processes and technologies to facilitate the capture, organisation, and sharing of information in multiple formats.
• User research[TG1.1]: Builds understanding of user behaviours, needs, and motivations through observation techniques, task analysis, and other feedback methodologies, and translates this into insights
• User-centred design: Applies an continuous design process focusing on the users and their needs in each phase of the design process.
• Content management systems: Uses computer software to manage the creation and modification of digital content.
• Content quality process management: Ensures that content creation processes produce quality deliverables.
• Information architecture: Organises, structures, and labels content in a way that helps users find information and complete tasks.
• Accessibility & inclusive design: Ensure that the design of products, processes and practices takes into account accessibility, inclusion, and diversity.
• Content operations[TG2.1]: Manages processes, people, and technologies needed to ensure the proper planning, creating, managing, and analysing of all content types.

Desirable Skills / Experience

• Experience managing delivery in some capacity would be a significant advantage
• Previous experience creating and managing content related to delivery performance.
• Previous experience with website and user-centred design and programming.
