Why this job matters

Our newly formed Small and Medium Business team will support businesses with between1 to 249 employees. That could be anything from a sole trader through to a small contact centre. We're already the market leader for small and medium businesses in the UK and we have a big opportunity for Business to be even better for its customers. We’ve got big growth and transformation ambitions for this segment and in this role, you will play a key role in forming this new combined unit and working with the leadership team to continue to drive for growth.

What you'll be doing

  • This role is 12-month Fixed Term Contract
  • Influencing internal stakeholders including account managers and commercial team, and being a subject matter expert of EE’s commission payments to support internal queries.
  • Leading monthly calls & being commissions point of contact with finance team of the EE partners, as well as leading and supporting 2 or 3 EE Commission Professionals in managing claims from a portfolio of partners (annual claims submission of ~£5m).
  • Looking for ways to improve commission outcomes, which may mean proposing or developing model-based solutions.
  • Understanding the commercial terms applied to these partners and establishing any under or over payments – reconciling the partner claim to EE’s commission system, the deal system, and our commission reference tables.
  • Monitor own and peers work to ensure relevant processes, including governance/compliance considerations, are adhered to, and managed appropriately, working with stakeholders to reduce risk and error.
  • Communicate the benefits and importance of procedures across multiple stakeholder groups and articulate benefits including improved customer and Sales Experience, increased revenues and decreased costs.

  • Excellent stakeholder management, collaboration and influencing skills: Has a track record of engaging, inspiring, and influencing people at senior levels. Identifies and effectively manages where conflict might arise and where alignment can be gained. Role models honest and respectful feedback.
  • Data analysis & insight skills: Knowledgeable in establishing the use of analytics and in the use of data and complex root cause analysis to spot trends and make recommendations that will improve commission accuracy.
  • Inspiring communicator: Able to distil information and package it in a way that is most relevant for the audience.
  • Thinks and acts commercially: Has strong business acumen, commercial awareness to affect a business outcome. Bases decisions on a sound reasonableness judgements underpinned by the appropriate level of analysis.

Flexible Working

BT have moved to a hybrid working model - you can work from home 2 days per week. This means you’ll be at your contractual location 3 days a week.
