Why this job matters
This role drives commercial and trading performance for the Wholesale Fixed Partner segment within BT Wholesale, aligned to the MTP and business strategy. It delivers actionable insights through performance analysis to identify opportunities, address gaps in the P&L, and set trading priorities with internal and external stakeholders.
What you’ll be doing
• Develop and analyse financial models for new and existing customer agreements
• Design and govern commercial offers to support new business growth and partner retention
• Lead negotiations on complex wholesale contracts with customers and senior internal stakeholders (up to Director level)
• Assess and structure deals, including comprehensive risk analysis
• Deliver actionable commercial insight and reporting to improve P&L performance
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Finance, Product and Proposition teams to align with commercial strategy
• Present deal structures and commercial strategies through formal governance for senior approval
• Identify pricing and contractual risks and recommend mitigation strategies
• Conduct detailed financial, profitability and cost-benefit analysis of wholesale agreements
• Drive initiatives to increase customer adoption of full fibre products
The skills you’ll need
• Strong commercial acumen with excellent numerical and analytical capability
• Proven experience in financial analysis, forecasting revenue and assessing profitability
• Confident and effective negotiator, comfortable engaging senior internal and external stakeholders
• Good understanding of fixed connectivity products and wholesale market dynamics
• Clear and persuasive communicator with strong cross-functional collaboration skills
• Experience structuring complex deals and leading contract negotiations
