Job Description
We operate a flexible hybrid working model—3 days together in the office (Manchester), 2 days wherever works for you. However, on occasion, you may be required onsite for up to five days a week to meet business or customer needs.
Please note: Eligibility for UK Security Clearance at the required level is essential for this role. You must have this clearance in place before you can start.

What you’ll be doing
- Accountable for the architecture and governance of cloud platforms, ensuring compliance with security and operational standards.
- Lead the design and implementation of enterprise-grade cloud solutions, including infrastructure as code (IaC), automation, and orchestration.
- Own the lifecycle management of cloud services, from planning and deployment to optimisation and cost control.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior engineers, fostering best practices and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into robust, scalable cloud architectures.
- Drive incident resolution and root cause analysis for complex cloud-related issues, ensuring minimal downtime and impact.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend adoption strategies to maintain a competitive edge.
The skills and experience you'll need
- Proven experience in cloud architecture and engineering across major platforms (AWS (Preferred) , Azure, GCP).
- Strong proficiency in automation tools (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Deep understanding of networking, security, and compliance frameworks in cloud environments.
- Demonstrated ability to lead projects and mentor team members, with excellent communication skills.
- Expertise in monitoring, performance tuning, and cost optimization for cloud services.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional
- Experience with containerisation and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and cloud-native security tools.
