About the role

In this role you will lead the Change, Adoption and Communications team for Finance Technology & Portfolio Delivery, ensuring strategic projects are landed with clarity, confidence and measurable adoption. You will connect programme delivery, colleague engagement, communications, learning and culture activity into a single joined-up approach that helps people understand, adopt and sustain new ways of working.

You will lead a team of 4–6 change, adoption and communications professionals, partnering with Tribe Leads, project teams, People teams and senior stakeholders to build readiness, remove adoption barriers, shape compelling narratives and enable a high-performing digital culture. Success will be measured by adoption, colleague experience, behaviour change and the value realised from FT&PD transformation programmes—not by communications activity alone.

What you’ll be doing

Change, Adoption & Communications Leadership

  • Lead the change, adoption and communications team, setting priorities, standards and measures to support successful delivery of FT&PD strategic programmes.

Change Delivery & Adoption

  • Design and deliver practical change approaches across transformation initiatives, ensuring colleagues are ready, supported and equipped to adopt new ways of working.

Culture, Communications & Engagement

  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement, digital adoption and customer-focused delivery through clear communications, compelling storytelling and targeted engagement.

Data-Led Adoption & Value Realisation

  • Define and track adoption outcomes, using data and insight to identify risks, target interventions and provide meaningful reporting to senior stakeholders.

Team Leadership & Capability Building

  • Develop a high-performing team while creating reusable tools, frameworks and best practices that improve the consistency and effectiveness of change delivery across FT&PD.

Essential Skills / Experience

  • Strong practical experience delivering change management, adoption planning and internal communications for technology or business transformation projects.
  • Experience leading, coaching or coordinating a small team, setting priorities and building capability.
  • Confident partnering with senior leaders, Tribe Leads, project teams, People teams and communications stakeholders.
  • Experience defining adoption metrics, maintaining trackers and turning insight into clear recommendations.

Desirable Skills / Experience

  • Digital culture and adoption experience helping colleagues adopt modern tools, AI-enabled capabilities, Agile ways of working and data-led behaviours.
  • Desirable qualifications: Change management qualification such as Prosci, APMG, CCMP or equivalent.
  • Executive stakeholder and communications experience preparing leadership messages, engagement plans, dashboards, briefing packs and clear narratives for senior audiences.
