The Team: Customer Insights & Growth

At Boomi, we don’t just move data; we move businesses forward. Our team’s Vision is to cultivate a data-driven culture where every customer interaction yields actionable insights that empower our teams and elevate the user experience.

The Role

As a Digital Experience Marketing Specialist, you will be the technical and operational engine behind our in-product engagement strategy. You will play an important role in managing Pendo to amplify a product-centric culture and instill a usage-focused mindset across the entire Boomi ecosystem.

You aren't just building guides; you are architecting the digital journey that helps our customers realize immediate value.

What You Will Do :

Key Responsibilities

  • Pendo Operations & Strategy: Act as a primary administrator for Pendo. You will support our strategy to use Pendo to amplify a product-centric culture, ensuring every feature launch is supported by data-driven guidance.
  • Guide Architecture: Design, build, and deploy sophisticated in-app guides, walkthroughs, and resource centers. You’ll ensure these experiences feel native to the Boomi platform through clean HTML/CSS and JavaScript customization.
  • Segmentation & Personalization: Develop user segments based on behavioral data and metadata to deliver the right message to the right user at the right time.
  • Product Analytics: Analyze product usage trends to identify friction points in the customer journey. You will translate "clicks" into "insights" for our cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Cross-Functional Governance: Support a high-visibility governance team across Product, Engineering, and UX Research/Design. You will ensure that our digital experience standards are met and that our in-app footprint remains intentional and uncluttered.
  • Continuous Optimization: A/B test in-app content and flows to improve conversion, feature adoption, and overall customer sentiment (NPS/CSAT).

The Experience You Bring:

  • Experience: 3–5 years in Digital Marketing, Marketing Ops, or Product Operations, ideally within a B2B SaaS environment.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. You don't need to be a software engineer, but you must be comfortable manipulating front-end code to style in-app guides and troubleshoot display issues.
  • Pendo Power User: Direct experience with Pendo is highly preferred (or similar tools like WalkMe/Gainsight PX). Experience with guide building, tagging, and path analysis is key. If your primary experience is with an alternative platform, you will be expected to fast-track your Pendo proficiency within your first 30 days
  • Analytical Mindset: You enjoy digging into data to find the "why" behind user behavior. You are comfortable using analytics to tell a story.
  • Collaborative Spirit: You can navigate conversations with engineers (technical specs) and UX designers (aesthetic standards) with equal ease.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience, in Computer Science, Business, Marketing, or a related field.

Bonus Points If You Have:

While not required, we’d be particularly excited to meet you if you bring:

  • Pendo Certification: You are a Pendo Essentials or Pendo Admin certified professional.
  • The "Growth Stack" Experience: Familiarity with tools that sit adjacent to Pendo, such as Segment, Amplitude, Mixpanel, or Salesforce. You understand how data flows between these systems to create a 360-degree view of the customer.
  • API Knowledge: Experience with REST APIs. Since you’re at Boomi, knowing how to "talk" to other systems via API is a massive advantage—especially when it comes to passing custom metadata into Pendo.
  • Advanced JS Libraries: While basic JS is required, experience with React or Vue.js is a plus. This helps when troubleshooting guides within Boomi’s specific front-end architecture.
  • Design Tool Proficiency: Experience with Figma or design software. You can take a UX mockup and translate it into a pixel-perfect in-app guide without losing the design intent.
  • Experimentation Frameworks: You have a background in A/B testing or Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO). You don’t just launch guides; you run experiments to see which version actually drives more feature adoption.
  • Product-Led Growth (PLG) Expertise: You have worked in a company that transitioned from a traditional sales motion to a PLG motion (Self-Service, Free Trial, or PayGo models).
