Job Title: Supply Chain Process Engineer

Salary: Circa £50,000 depending on skills and experiences

What you’ll be doing:

• Supporting and delivering the functional objective to continuously improve supply chain performance, through solving technical engineering & manufacturing problems
• Working in conjunction with procurement and programme teams to proactively identify and address supply chain technical risks and drive continuous improvement activities
• Continually reduce the number of defects during the manufacturing cycle at BAE Systems through improved supplier performance
• Developing, maintaining and enhancing manufacturing processes
• Improving supplier performance
• Working pro-actively with new suppliers to ensure they can robustly meet our technical requirements and their processes are minimal risk

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

• Effective stakeholder management and collaboration
• The ability to support quality investigations including root cause analysis methodologies
• Experienced gained within a manufacturing or engineering environment
• Ability to constructively challenge and drive an improvement-based culture
• Good written and verbal communication skills

Desirable:

• Aerospace or automotive experience
• Experience of capability evaluations of new sources
• Knowledge of business improvement techniques
• Experience of the application of AS9145

This is an opportunity to manage a technically oriented team focused on developing supplier capability and technical troubleshooting as part of the wider procurement organisation.

As a Supply Chain Process Engineer, you will be a key person in the design and development of avionic products, supporting the delivery of multiple complex manufacturing supply projects. Collaborating closely with global suppliers and key stakeholders to understand capability, process issues and solving problems with our supply chain
